It turned out not to be a blood clot. Instead the infection had gotten into her brain, causing it to physically weaken. While the infection was gone, the damage was done and she had an aneurysm.
Surgery stopped the bleeding and removed the aneurysm. But she's in a deep coma.
They will check for brain activity at 2am central time.

This hits close to home. My mom had an aneurysm followed by a lengthy coma when she was a little younger than your DD.

I cannot imagine what you are going through. It has to be terrifying. Your girl has been very strong for a long time. Just be as kind to yourself as possible right now.
