New Beginnings Playlist anyone?

My first song is Pink

"Just give me a reason, just a little bit's enough

Just a second we're not broken just bent, and we can learn to love again

It's in the stars, it's been written in the scars on our hearts

We're not broken just bent, and we can learn to love again"

"It's a slow fade...when you give yourself away" so don't do it!

Robert Earl Keen - "Feelin' Good Again"

And I wanted you to see 'em all

I wished that you were there

I looked across the room

And saw you standin' on the stair

And when I caught your eye

I saw you break into a grin

It feels so good feelin' good again

Yup Walk by the Foo and Praying have been on heavy loop since Dday.

My go to (through this whole shit show) has been Had Enough by Breaking Benjamin. The lyrics are fantastic If u go on Youtube you can find the “unplugged” version. So good!

“You had to have it all

Well, have you had enough?

You greedy little bastard, you will get what you deserve

When all is said and done

I will be the one

To leave you in the misery and hate what you've become”

I thought this was a New Beginnings playlist?

Not “Burn all your ex’s shit” playlist. 🤔

This one's an oldie that Ioved long before I even met my XWW. But it rings true today.

Look at you now, you're disenchanted,

Can´t believe how things can change.

Take a little out of life and things get strange.

And now you've found the wishes you were granted,

Things you thought were in your hands,

Have slipped away.

How much can you withstand?

Everything is at a standstill,

Where´s someone will be on hand till

You´re no longer disenchanted,

Thinking everything is wrong...

You know you´re not the only one to wait so long.

I wonder, can you try again?

Are you that strong?

Jackson Browne - I'm Alive

Hey look at the way I believed in you

And loved you all these years

Now you can fill a swimming pool with all my salty tears

If you'd have told me what was in your heart

But, baby you lied

I thought that it would kill me

But I'm alive

Yeah, I'm alive

You are the only person you are guaranteed to spend the rest of your life with. Act accordingly.

Far Behind - Social Distortion

With friends like you, who needs enemies?

You ain't right, you ain't never gonna be

You're out of the car; I'm afraid you've been declined

You shake my hand while you're pissing on my leg

I'm cuttin' you loose; I don't need this misery

Your soul is toxic, you ain't no friend of mine

You talk real trash when I'm not around

To build yourself up, you gotta to tear me down

You'll have to excuse me; I've got better things to do

You smile through your teeth, you talk out your neck

Every chance you get you're gonna stab my back

Your time's run out; I've got nothing left for you

I'm leaving you far behind

I'm leaving you far behind

Stop wasting all of my time

I'm leaving you far behind

So I'm pulling out the weeds, I'm taking stock

You can talk the talk, but can't walk the walk

Your narcissistic ways have gotten the best of you

So I'm leaving you to sink in all your glory

For you and me it's the end of the story

Get out of my way; I've got better things to do

I'm leaving you far behind

I'm leaving you far behind

Stop wasting all of my time

I'm leaving you far behind

I obsessively seek out new music for whatever period I'm in, so I've got dozens to commemorate the growth (and the loss, of course). Here are some of the most upbeat ones which *aren't* electronic music (so much electronic music, it's so good for working). There's something for everyone:

Billy Idol - Dancing With Myself

Alex Ebert - Gold

Elle King - Exs and Ohs

George Michael - Freedom 90

Matthew Wilder - Break My Stride

OK Go - This Too Shall Pass

LCD Soundsystem - Dance Yrself Clean

Iggy Pop - Lust for Life (Prodigy Remix)

Washed Out - Amor Fati

Ariel Pink - Time to Live

"Hate You to Love Me" Selena Gomez

Part of the song:

You promised the world and I fell for it

I put you first and you adored it

Set fires to my forest

And you let it burn

Sang off-key in my chorus

'Cause it wasn't yours

I saw the signs and I ignored it

Rose-colored glasses all distorted

Set fire to my purpose

And I let it burn

You got off on the hurtin'

When it wasn't yours, yeah

We'd always go into it blindly

I needed to lose you to find me

This dance, it was killing me softly

I needed to hate you to love me, yeah
