You Ain't Worth the Salt in My Tears by Martin Briley, turned up LOUD and on repeat!

There is NO need to have that “one last conversation” with a toxic individual in your life.” The closure will come when you look deeper inside yourself. It’s not your job to fix someone when they are unwilling to fix themselves.

Heart all over the floor

Ever since you put me back together

I can't believe it, can't believe it, uh!

Look what you found, yeah, baby

Look what I found

Someone who carry 'round a piece of my heart"

Does not apply to me but if he ever comes back I sometimes dream about sending him a link to Dua Lipa's IDGAF:

So I cut you off

I don't need your love

'Cause I already cried enough

I've been done

I've been movin' on since we said goodbye

I cut you off

I don't need your love, so you can try all you want

Your time is up, I'll tell you why

You say you're sorry

But it's too late now

So save it, get gone, shut up

'Cause if you think I care about you now

Well, boy, I don't give a fuck

Try The Bones by Maren Morris

Incarnate.

PS by your description of your self I am having a hard time imagining you listening to Elton John

But I do like his song Sacrifice

Play it every time I think of replying to ch's texts (because I know texting him will not lead to resolution of any kind ever).

I listen to almost everything. Classic Rock, R&B, Soul, metal, thrash, emo, pop, classical, EDM, dubstep, rap/hip-hop, grunge, 80s, 90s, etc, etc...

The only things I do NOT like, specifically, are 99.999% of country (with Johnny Cash and Big & Rich as exceptions) and the same amount of Swing (but I love Electro Swing).

My favorite Elton John songs are probably Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting, Candle In The Wind, and Crocodile Rock.

For Billy Joel, it's gotta be by the album. 52nd Street, The Stranger, and River of Dreams are my all-time favorites of his. Storm Front and Piano Man were really good as well.

George Strait-

'i'm not going to lay around and whine and moan

'cause somebody done me wrong

don't think for a minute

that I'm gonna sit around and sing some old sad song

i believe it's half full, not a half empty glass...

look up the lyrics- I couldn't have felt this earlier on but now-

BRING ON THE GOOD TIME

Working hard on indifference. It is much less painful.

I just end up playing the same thing over and over:

U2, "It's a Beautiful Day"

The heart is a bloom

shoots up through the stony ground

And their "Lights of Home"

Shouldn't be here 'cause I should be dead

I can see the lights in front of me

I believe my best days are ahead

...

Free yourself to be yourself

If only you could see yourself
