I consider them completely pointless unless it’s cold, Not enough there to need one for support. I wear them in public because that is what your supposed to do but as soon as I get home it comes off, not really worried about wearing one when other people are over, apparently this bothers my husband. The older I get the less I really give a shit what anyone thinks. So, for those who don’t really need a bra when do you wear one?

I have a little bit more than 'not much' but I stopped wearing a bra years ago. Like you, as I got older, I stopped caring. It became more about comfort than 'sexy fashion' for me. So I switched over to something like a tank top - but the kind with thin straps. And they are the kind that have support in all the right places. I get them one size smaller than I need to wear but the material is soft and stretchy. But it also smooths things out too which is just an added bonus. However, they are so comfy that I also sleep in them at night. All purpose. :)
Now that I have these in my life, I can't imagine ever going back to wearing a bra. And they are cheap and easy to wash!

You have no idea how envious i am of those of you that can go braless in public. I'm 5' 110 lbs with a pair of DDs.
I have costochondritis, painful ribs, can't wear an underwire even a regular band hurts. I found something that has no band, like a short camisole with thin pads for "modesty." It provides little support but creates an illusion.

No bra??? (Imagine the shocked face emoji here)
I wish. But after breastfeeding five kids let’s just say that it looks like I am permanently freezing.
I could literally poke someone’s eye out. I may even be able to get 5G with these things.
I need padding to cover up a little bit. I don’t want to get arrested for indecent exposure.
I actually went down from a C to B after nursing my first two, which is totally weird. Then I slowly crept back up to a C. I went shopping with one of my DD’s (no pun intended) just last week and thought I’d get myself a new bra cause I have an occasion coming up and I want it to be special. I’m now a 34D!!! My BH is not complaining.

OK so I am rather endowed in this area, however I have flat nipples (I know TMI) so I don't have to worry about them obnoxiously poking out. But I too could not give a damn what anyone else thinks.
I have been working from home since mid-March. I have to tell you there are times I don't even know where my favorite bras are. I was one to always wear one outside the house or put it on when you get up and get dressed in the morning...... UNTIL .....
My college aged daughter who NEVER wears a bra, showed me some studies that show it really doesn't matter if you wear one or not as far as sagging goes, and effects on back/posture. Now I have to say if my arthritis in my back is bothering me I will wear one, but otherwise, especially now that it's sweater/sweatshirt weather.... yah I'm not putting one on. LOL.

I've discovered, since I've been home since March, the "bralette." I'm a C-cup, and these are comfortable and give support without being uncomfortable. Think of a sports bra without the compression.

I wear a sports bra in public. If I wear a jacket and am just running to the gas station or something, I don't bother wearing even a sports bra.
I had breast reduction in '98. I wouldn't have been able to get away with just a sports bra before that. They took 3 pounds off my chest. I REGRET IT NOT AT ALL.

I'll give y'all a guy's input.
If you are trying to be modest, just make sure the nipples aren't poking through. You can actually get nipple covers on amazon for relatively cheap. STBXW had very small breasts before her augmentation but very large/obvious nipples. So, if she wanted to go braless and be modest (she was a narcissist... so she often wanted the attention), she would put on the nipple covers.
p.s. most of your responses are hilarious!

I'm wearing a bra now though this morning I was really considering not to. I've been working on the addition to the goat house for my Does kidding pen so roofing, walls etc. Easier with the bra to keep the girls nice and secure lol
Around the house, nope not usually. If I have a quick trip to the corner store nope again. Full weekly grocery shopping yes I will.
None of my sports bras fit and I'm now a 40 DD. Wh took me out to get a proper fitting bra one day because I complained about the one I had.
In the cooler weather i dont mind not wearing one. Have enough layers on that theres no nipples showing lol.
In the summer i might just wear one of my bathing suit tops with the built in pads.
Thing is i had surgery for suspected cancer in my 20's. So righty is perkier than lefty due to how much tissue they removed and how it was all stitched back up. My headlights are definitely out of alignment!
That said I'm now at that age (what's that age anyways? Cause I'm in my 40's lol) and I just dont give a shit what anyone thinks. Used to never wear shorts, now I do (obviously in the summer lol).

Oh hellll naw. I hate bras. HATE them.
Part of the beautifulness of 2020 is that I have literally had a bra on like maybe 10 times since March
And if people can't handle some nippage, that sounds like a them issue, not a me one!

I'm the odd man out who is not comfortable WITHOUT one! Can't explain it, but having my girlz flying all around me when I move isn't something I enjoy! The only exception is at bed time. Other than a sport's bra for jogging or a bathing suit, I'm pretty much a carrier of the over-the-shoulder-boulder-holder 24/7.

You're not alone, newlife. I don't know if it's because I used to have Fs, yes, F, and bras are required for comfort at that size and I just got used to it. I had a breast reduction and I'm down to a C and I so love that, but I feel weird without a bra on. I've been working from home since March too and experimented with trying to be braless, but it bothers me. I wish it didn't!

Around the house? Wearing a jacket to run errands? Nope.
Out in public? Office? Yep.
I am in the well-endowed club, and after breastfeeding all three kiddos, they have suffered. If I don't contain the twins, I'm likely to poke my own eye out.
Now, let's sing all together!!
"Do your boobs hang low
Can you swing 'em to and fro
Can you tie 'em in a knot
Can you tie 'em in a bow
Do your boobs hang low
Can you swing 'em to and fro
Can you tie 'em in a knot
Can you tie 'em in a bow
Can you swing 'em over your shoulder
like a regimental soldier
Do your boobs hang low
Do your boobs hang low
Can you swing 'em to and fro
Can you tie 'em in a knot
Can you tie 'em in a bow
Do you get a painful feeling
When you throw 'em at the ceiling
Do your boobs hang low
Do your boobs hang low
Can you swing 'em to and fro
Can you tie 'em in a knot
Can you tie 'em in a bow
Do they get real sore
When you drag 'em cross the floor
Do your boobs hang low"

Only if I absolutely have to.
Which is rare. I like tank tops better. I'm blessed with being on the smaller size which is why I hate losing weight. Boobs are the first thing to go and I rather like having them.
Why would I want to restrain them?

Well everyone tells me I'll knock myself out of I'm not wearing a bra and have to run. It's not true. They aren't THAT big.

Phoenix, I could have sung that with you up until 2015 when most of them got removed.
Mine were out of control without a bra! I had this fantasy that I could sport my perky new Cs around braless at least at home and I'm still bugged that I don't like doing that.

Usually the week before my period my breasts get super tender. The last two times my left side has ached so badly that a bra just hurts to much to wear.
Had anyone tried the stick on things that cover the nipple and then attach up at the top?
