I love seeing the Christmas theme, but it reminds me of our - the SI community's - loss. It also reminds me of your loss, MH, and my heart goes out to you. I also remember DS, and I can't help smiling.

I'm thinking of you today, MH. Lots of virtual hugs coming your way!

Thank you so much.

Happy memories!

I might have a pragmatic view to life. We have a limited time here and although the length of time matters then what is even more important is what we do with that time. Deeply Scared definitely used her time well and leaves this beacon of hope for so many.

This thread and Lionne's beautiful post about Hawaii, together, reminded me of something I meant to post here a couple of weeks ago.

I walked past a car in a parking lot and noticed the flower lei hanging from the rear view mirror. Since all things Hawaii grab my attention, I stopped a moment and took it in. Hawaii has always been my dream vacation. Standing there, I looked past the lei in the windshield and noticed the front bucket seats each had a Hello Kitty seat cover pulled over them. Of course, you know where my thoughts went next....... A bit of sadness, but happy to have a reminder of our beautiful soul to put a wistful smile on my face as I went on.

I haven't posted for a very long time and Durak and I are just gutted to only now hear of Deeply Scared's sudden illness and tragic loss. She helped us and hundreds.

MH, thanks for sharing DS with us. Wishing you comfort and peace - and to smile when you think of her.

We are still together after nearly 20 years; it truly fades and if you stick it out, the hard work of reconciliation changes you both for the better. Big thanks to SI for being there for us, and everyone, for so many years. Talk about leaving an impact for good!

I cannot believe it's been almost 4 years since you left us. I still think of you and miss you every day. You are forever in my heart my friend.

No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There is only one thing that makes someone change: their own realization that they need to.

I've been thinking of her all week. I suppose I will always remember Christmas was her favorite holiday.

I miss DS.

Take care of yourself. There's a great future out there. It won't come to you; you have to go to it.
