I apologize for the inconvenience. Some or all of you had to log back in again because I made a major update to session handling. In addition to that there is now a tool in your profile to convert legacy links to new ones if you need it. Also the SPF picture posting bug has been fixed.

Please let me know if you notice anything "unusual." smile Thank you for your patience.

After logging back in, it shows me the usual site look. I am unable to change to the skin I had been using.

I have the option to change the skin, but regardless of which option I choose, I'm getting the same purple format.

Thanks for all the new features. The simple one I asked for where you can click on the post-count of a member at the bottom of any of his posts has saved me considerable time.

Thank you!! One thing I noticed (and attempted again today) was that after I’ve posted if I choose to edit my post to bold, italicize or quote something the options to do so aren’t available to me anymore. I've tried on my phone and laptop. The bold/italic/quote options seem to only be available when I'm typing an original post but not when editing one.

Logging out and back in again should fix this. If it doesn’t please check your profile to make sure your time zone is selected.

I will look into this. smile

Is there anything we can do about ads that cover most or all of a post?

And “The web page is not available” popping up all the time?

Is there an option to look like the legacy style? The legacy colors and fonts are much easier to read.

Given that web pages are software creations using "HTML (version #?)" - and given the many different browsers (more software) running on many different computers running "who knows what BIOS software" and god only knows how many different operating systems ( I would lay odds that many OS are so old - no longer supported by Microsoft/Apple/Unix creators) -

It is almost a miracle we have the level of performance we enjoy!

Well, don't be to smug - you BETTER have very good anti-virus/anti-malware software installed or you may find yourself staring at a RANSOM ware screen mad crying duh

For the older folks here - remember the promise of cable TV - no ADVERTISING?? right
How about electricity generated by Nuclear Power Plants? "To cheap to meter!" right

For those who complain about the advertisements - refer back to the two lines above.

"How much does a web site like SI cost?" - there are a LOT of variables - but I bet ManagleHeart sees a SIX FIGURE bill monthly.

Given this is a free web site - I will take the advertisements "in stride" - that is the way of life in a capitalist society.

I doff my Fedora to MangledHeart for the work done to create SI. (and any others behind the scene)

I was unaware of either of these issues. If someone can help me identify what is going on with a screen shot it would be very much appreciated.

Yes. Replace the www with legacy on your address bar.
