I’m gonna be on Jeopardy.

Lifelong dream.

Filming in 2 weeks. I’m booked for 2 days, so max of 10 episodes. Work taking me to Alaska soon after so a little concerned about if I do better than that... Remote possibility.

I plan to let folks know when I find out when it airs, my SI friends will surely be in the know... Though if I choke...

My 16 year old just got an appointment with DMV (long overdue and backed up) and PASSED! No more permit style driving with her to work, taking car home and then reversing at end of day. Her first trip was to Taco Bell on her own...with lunch for a busy mom brought home!

Oh, and they are both kind of digging on remote learning. Soooo much better than the unfortunate surprise spring scramble last year.

Oh, and I had a few awesome socially distant dates. Nothing with potential for long term, but (1) nice to just be out there and go for a hike with the opposite gender and (2) kind of helpful for us ladies who are sick of online dating that’s turned into a swipable sex partner store. They actually have to get to know you and like you as a person and the same is true in reverse...because there isn’t even any kissing. It’s like dating in the 1800’s. I feel like it’s much more

Likely to end up with a good life partner without having physical chemistry encourage ignoring red flags!

My kids are back to school virtual style and love it. Everything has been different this year, but they are super relaxed with this environment. I will call their relaxation a win!

I’m so happy with my kids schools. There is and expensive private school in my area. Never could afford it, but decided to apply and look into scholarships they offer. Both kids got in and got scholarships!! It makes me feel like I’m a good mom because old school was bad for my middle son for a few reasons, and I’m so glad this new school is a good fit and helping him. I’m proud of myself for applying to a school we couldn’t afford and then figuring out/ asking them how we could make it work!

GottaGetThrough,

That is fantastic news! And I am sure you are about to bust with pride...as you should!!!!

I remember how proud B and I were when our son got full ride offers from several different colleges (he eventually chose Stanford, did not like it and wound up at the University of Oregon. I literally thought my husband was gonna explode.

But he is a very smart kid - but his sister got all the common sense and street smarts - and financial smarts too. They have both taken care of their inheritance - neither have touched the principal - and she looks out for little brother where money is concerned.

And both of them are on the spectrum - which made us even more proud of all the things they have accomplished as adults. And I am proud to call myself their mom.

And you sound like one strong, awesome woman and mother. You are raising a couple of great children from the sounds of it. You should look at yourself in the mirror every morning and remember just how far you have come. I love reading posts and comments like this!

So thank you for sharing!

My good news is later this week my fiber optic network will be installed. So excited! It includes wifi and fiber optic TV. Means I'll have to learn new 'stuff' but that's okay!

That's so exciting about Jeopardy!

I'm still stuck in the same old Hell but have been able to make a couple of baby steps toward selling this house. Snowbirds will start trickling back in October so it would be really good timing to get it done now.

But the same old problem keeps rearing it's ugly head: where do I go after I sell my house???? But I'm beginning to think I should just put it on the market and then figure the rest out.

Josie, my house was under contract in 4 days after listing and my buyers wanted to close in 4 weeks. I would urge you to have at least a short-term rental plan! I was SCRAMBLING.

I just poked my head into general and started feeling anxious and crazy, so I came back here, hahaa.

By the way, I was offered that job this afternoon. I accepted immediately. Yaaayyyy!! New chapter, new beginning in so many ways!
