MH I post rarely, but could never have survived a very terrible situation without SI. You and DS have literally saved many lives (mine included) and marriages with your kind support and Loving example. She will be missed. We will all be here to support you with prayers and love in this difficult time. many hugs. RIP DS gone too soon. You leave a hole in all our hearts.

I am sorry MH. This is one of those times where it just doesn't feel right or make sense.

I am still in awe that through her love for you and fighting for your marriage that SI was hatched. I wish I could find the actual saying, but it is something like "when something bad happens some people run from it and others run towards it." That is how I see her, as family members and friends take a step back, it gives her room to step in.

Oh no. I haven't been on the site for a couple of weeks.

What a horrible loss. I really, really thought this was going to end differently.

Because of DS and MH I have survived. Because of them I had a safe place to go. A soft place to land. So many people's lives have been helped by them.

This just isn't fair. Good riddance 2016.

God bless you and yours MH.

Oh My God!

I had written a PM to DS a while back and have been checking back periodically for an answer. I have only just now learned this tragic news.

No words can change the pain.

I am so very sorry for the loss of such a wonderful lady. As a long time lurker I know that her compassion and love had a positive effect on many many people beyond the SI "regulars".

Hugs, love and peace to everyone affected by this tragedy, especially MH.

I'm so sorry to hear that DS passed away. MH, family, and friends my condolences on her passing.

He claims he loved me the whole time of his LTA. I'm not sure I'll survive his kind of love. Whorena The Cumdumpster pretended to be my friend the entire time as well. I'll take an enemy any day of the week.

I just found out about a walk to support breast cancer patients and survivors, as well as help with more research, mammograms and access to care. I am thinking of doing it.

It is a 2 day, 39.3 mile walk that will be in Houston on April 22 and 23rd. There are six other cities involved as well.

For anyone interested in learning more, it is called the Avon 39. Not sure if I can give the link, but I'm sure yo can find it through Google.

The title of the advertisement says "Warriors Wanted". Made me think of DS. She was most definitely a warrior.

I am so very deeply sorry for your loss, MH.

DS was an angel in life and will continue to be a light for us all despite leaving the earthly world. We are all so grateful that together you shared your love for each other by opening up a safe place for all of us. For that, we can never thank you.

Every day since first reading this thread back in April, I've said a prayer for both of you. I continue to pray that you find strength during the dark time, and peace in the days ahead, with DS's angel always at your side.

Much love

My deepest sympathy MH.

I pray that she is no longer in pain, but in grace, and that your pain will be lifted soon. Know that we all share your loss.

God speed, DS.

MH

I echo the words of my fellow SI members. Your loss is profound. Your pain is raw and the future will seem dark. I hope that you talk the time you need to grieve because that's very important. It won't be easy, but you will find a way to persevere. Put one foot in front of the other. Gently. Slowly.

And know that DS touched the lives of literally thousands of people. How many people can say that? And you made that happen too. Your willingness to open your lives to so many people, to open your doors when so many others have and would have shut us out. You did that. DS did that. Together.

You've overcame so much and created so much hope and joy together. Hold on to this.

Take care and let us know if you need us for anything.

Thank you so much everybody for your thoughts and prayers. It has been a really tough time. But I will make it through this. I've lost two more relatives to cancer in the last week. They may have been waiting for DS to lead the way.

I've been on the road since family left and I have been traveling and getting my head together since. I know your not supposed to say things like that on the internet. But remember my house is in Texas and I have established the castle doctrine with all of my neighbors and they are even better armed than me.

While on the road I also destroyed my Camaro. I blew out the transmission and A/C. I was lucky enough to be in a town that I have friends. But not lucky enough to bring my ride back to life without putting more money into it than it is worth. So if there are any aspiring hobbyists who want to work on a Camaro, it is a 95 with under 100k miles and pretty good shape other than the damage I've done on my tour.

I hope you don't mind, but SI will remain decorated for Christmas season until I return to my office. Think of it as extending DS' final day with us for a little while longer.

Thank you again for your continued thoughts and prayers.
