CT shows no signs of cancer. Yay!

But my CEA is up to 6. Was 5 last year. Boo!

He said (in an awesome Eastern European accent that I can do dead on- call me for a demonstration) that he has some patients that are at 8 or 9 with no cancer and to keep taking vitamin D (which he swears will also prevent or decrease the effects of COVID).

Still kickin!

Fantastic news, MN!! I often have wondered how you were doing after your ordeals (plural!)

I remember when you got that scary diagnosis. I had a very close call myself around the same time as you did - a great colorectal surgeon at Cleveland Clinic barely saved me from needing open abdominal surgery - so this kind of news really is encouraging, for lots of reasons!

Your doctor thinks Vitamin D is preventive of bad colorectal changes? Nice to hear. I take 5,000 Vitamin D daily, plus an advanced probiotic, and I switched to taking methylated B vitamins, as I understand that 25% of Americans lack the gene for metabolizing straight Folic acid, for example, and they told me genetics are part of what caused the susceptibility.

What other recommendations do you follow?

Anyway, great update, and keep up the good work!

I am going to be having CT scans often and I dread the time of waiting for results. That has to be very stressful.
