Ok so I'll bite. Changed it up from "random thoughts " to whats on your mind.

Anything goes as long as it's within the guidelines of course. grin

I'll start:

Why is it so easy to sleep all day but not sleep all night?

Why are male goats called Bucks when they do more Ramming than bucking?

If you named your happy green octopus Squirt, what would you name your purple grumpy octopus?

I haven't decided what my favourite chocolate bar is yet. I think its time to do a taste test of ALL of them lol

So, whats on your mind today?

Oooh - must've been the smell of chocolate that lured me here, so I'll bite too.

Please define "chocolate bar."

Are we talking the kind when your buddy is running into the gas station and you holler to get you a candy bar and they ask "what kind?"

....or something more...high-falutin'?

The run into thr gas station ones. I was thinking of raiding thr corner store.

But i do really love Ferrero Roche! Although i have a "history" with those Chocolates.

My ex fiance proposed with the ring in a box of them...

So yeah. Still love them but brings back good/bad memories.

I love Zero bars. The chocolate centre is soooooooo smooth!

I just downed a kit kat bar.

Wh says i eat chocolate bars WRONG and hes right lmao

So kitkats i bite off the ends first. They are thicker chocolate.

Twix bars....i eat everything but thr cookie bottom. Then enjoy the cookie bottom alone

Reese bars are the worst. I habe to eat all the chocolate around the edge and top to leave just the peanut butter centre.

Ok ok i know i am a monster lmao

I will be away from here for a few hours. I have a google meet with the school about thr special testing dS had. Still waiting for the report about dd's testing. So im going to hop in the shower and make myself less scary and hope to hell the baby goat is quiet during this meeting.

Favorite chocolate bars though, there's a dark chocolate salted almond one they stock at our Kroger that is AWESOME.

Really anything that's got dark chocolate and something else.

As for purple grumpy octopuses, URSULA. The witch was purple and decidedly grumpy.

Yes WHY is it so fun and relaxing to sleep during the day but eyes wide open all night?? Figure that out and let me know!

Chocolate mmmmmmmmmmmm :) My favorite is CELLO Chocolate covered cherries. No other brand will do. I also like Butterfinger, Almond Hershey and Three Musketeers candy bars. And of course Hershey's kisses. And for a real treat, eat a delicious apple with a Milky Way. Bite of apple, bite of candy. Chew together smile

Another good topic is FEARS. Dragn, I know you love your snakes but I am absolutely terrified of snakes. ANY kind of snakes.

I am wondering if you have ever encountered an angry, large Rattlesnake .... but I don't think they live where you do. At least they shake their rattlers on the end of their tail to tell you to get away. They can be deadly.

What is the first thing you notice about meeting new people? Me -- it's the teeth. I have a young attorney in my office who has been so busy with a career so she's decided to try OLD - and she too is particular about teeth. On the first date with one guy, she said he was so handsome, so nice, so intelligent -- but his teeth were small. She said they looked like chicklets. I laughed for days about that.

How is that for random thoughts laugh

Im not a dark chocolate fan. I do love chocolate covered nuts.

Ursula is PERFECT!!!!!

I have a reversible octopus. Green is happy. Purple is not. Wh knows not to talk to me of purple octopus is out. Lol

Fears. No snakes don't do it for me. Never been fave to face with a rattlesnake. I have had venomous snakes though. I saw a video dissecting the rattle and how cool it is how it works. Wh boa is nasty at times, striking the glass door of her enclosure. It's a feeding response, not aggression.

My fears....

I am claustrophobic. Like huge. i cant even watch someone in a small space on Tv. We watched maze runner. When Thomas runs through the closing wall doors i cannot watch. I feel like i am being crushed.

Ritter Sport Chocolate— the rum raisin nut flavor - is the BEST. I worked in a candy/nut store in high school and sampled EVERYTHING.
I order it by the case (it lasts for months— I need just a little at a time.). You can sometimes find this flavor at CostPlus, but it’s hard to find in the US.

I worked in a pet store in college and snakes in their aquariums are fine. But here in the west I have had to get face to face with enough rattlesnakes (and king snakes and gopher snakes and…) on my property to now be a bit terrified when I see/hear/sense a slithering nearby. The bunch of baby rattlers under my car and the one curled around the propane tank on my grill were the last straws. Totally fine with spiders, though. And I love bats.

Does anyone else have that weird thing where you get creeped out by blades and sort of envision chopping off your own fingers? It’s a real thing apparently and skeeves me out when I use the mandolin or food processor or even some knives or the disposal.

I Have always noticed people's eyes first. Especially now with masks.

Personally I wish masks were more accepted because I love wearing them.

I hate summer and seeing peoples feet. Blah. barf not my thing...

Blades. Well seeing as i cut myself more than normal...ya im afraid. But i have nightmares of wh with a chainsaw getting angry and throwing it.

Also since ds had his falling through a fish tank ordeal I am always panicked when I see the kids near anything dangerous.

Yes, and I have never heard of or read about anyone else having this. I also hate razor blades and razor blade knives. I envision myself or someone else cutting themselves. I don't like to be in the same room with somebody using sharps.

I am terrified of all things that slither. We had a 5 foot black snake in our garage that I found.

Also not a fan of tight spaces which makes my annual MRI lots of fun.

My biggest fear is vomit. It is very hard to be me.

Lots of good candy choices. Eating an apple with a candy bar sounds good. I like chocolate covered pretzels and anything with peanut butter.

I agree on the Ritter Sport, but my favorites are the coconut and strawberry yogurt. Luckily (unluckily?) for me, there's a nearby Russian market that carries all the European flavors.

I'm scared of snakes, but it's mostly the slitheriness that gets me. A lazy boa constrictor draped around its owner doesn't faze me nearly as much as a garter snake that surprises me in my garage. A slithery boa constrictor in my garage would cause me to move out of state immediately.

I shudder every time I have to put my hand in the garbage disposal, but knives don't bother me.

Lots on my mind right now...that is why I am up an hour before I have to laugh . Mostly worried about my in-laws...dementia SUCKS sad .

I'm a simple Cajun...hershey bars are my favorite smile . I'm not one to eat nuts with my candy...but I have enjoyed a snickers bar a time or two.

My flowers are blooming unusually early. I wonder if it is because of Hurricane Ida messing our system up here? The trees kept budding even during the fall...it was so weird...and now the flowers are blooming. They are beautiful though smile .

Mardi Gras will be in full swing for the next two weeks. Mardi Gras Day is March 1st...so Ash Wednesday is March 2nd...and I haven't even thought about what to do for Lent. Probably give up hershey bars laugh !

Count me in on Ritter Sport - I much prefer German chocolates to Swiss which is probably not a popular preference...although a Godiva in their store is awfully yummy...those are Belgian, right?

I get a hankerin' for various gas station candy bars - I loves me a 5th avenue or Butterfinger if they are fresh (stale are awful).

And every once in a while I have to haves me a Goo-Goo.

Fears? Strangely, not many. But I can't stand haunted houses. Always feel like I want to slug the people who jump out at me. Not very festive. Fight instead of flight, I guess?

Ok, when it comes to chocolate bars I'm not that fancy lol. Half the ones you speak of I haven't ever heard of before. Goo Goo???

My grandmother was a master baker and chocolate maker. She would make her own Oh Henry bars and Turtles.

Bangers and mash is yet another thing I am uneducated on.

So tomorrow is my shopping day. Since baby goat is doing better it seems I need to pick up diapers for her if she is to continue to run around the house. The thing is she is super tiny. I might just be back to premie ones.

She's totally got the hang of nursing off the syringe. She wouldn't latch to any of the nipples I have. Oh, man does that bring back bad memories... I do have a feeding tube but unless she takes a turn for the worst I am not using it.

Has anyone here gone down the rabbit hole online looking up something (unrelated to why we are here) and found themselves realizing how cut off from the world one is???

I'm don't particularly care for sweets. I must be lacking that gene. I like salt. My favorite chocolate would probably be Ghirradeli (sp?) dark sea salted caramel or mint filling. Dove has similar candies.

I'm also not especially afraid of snakes. I did spend a summer doing field work in Wyoming and South Dakota. We would come across 2-3 rattlesnakes per day on average. They wouldn't even necessarily start rattling the first time you passed or for the first person that passed. That was unnerving. I remember being relieved after the third snake thinking that it's ok now, although I know that's not how the world works. I also did some field work in Florida, and everyone wears those snake gaiters. Recently I read statistics of snake bite deaths. Hardly anyone dies from them, and many people that get bitten are handling snakes.

I have the blade fear. I worked in a sandwich shop/deli/bakery one summer. I cut my hand on the big meat slicer. It wasn't even a particularly bad cut, maybe a few stitches, but I can't stand to look at other people cutting at the deli counter. Same with the mandolin slicer. Ugh. I wish I was a better compartmentalizer sometimes.

Probably my biggest fear is open water. I lived on a boat for a while and made ocean passages. I see pictures of people swimming off their boat with no land in sight. What the heck?! No way would I do that. The ocean usually has a decent swell out there unlike a harbor or beach behind a reef.
