Jeanie, that's terrifying. I'm so glad you're ok.

I struggle with drinking water, too, and rarely feel thirsty even when I'm dehydrated. This is a wake-up call.

Thanks, SirRobin. It sure was a wake up call. Right before I passed out I was thinking ..."I am going away." Odd feeling. A fading feeling. I'm trying to learn to like water but even if I can't, I know I have to drink it.

WTF Jeanie? They didn't keep you overnight????

That is INSANE.

They should have at least followed up and done cardiac enzyme levels to ensure you didn't have cardiac damage or that you kidneys didn't take a hit from prolonged low BP.

I am thrilled that you are doing well now, but you absolutely need to follow up your Dr or a cardiologist.

Often when a person passes out our brain is switched off (eyes wide open but not seeing) to a non medical person it can be incredibly scary.

Also not being able to feel a pulse in this situation is not unusual, usually it is due to the responders own adrenaline rush.

But Jeanie please take care of yourself and follow up w/ you Dr (s).

And yes staying hydrated is very important. If you are struggling w/ plain water, add in a chunk of lime, lemon, orange, or even a cutie. I have to drink tons of water for my health issues, and will add stuff some days but overall I like plain water.

((((Jeanie))))

Well I'm not happy with the time change crap. Prefer to have kept it the way it was. This bright at 6am only to be pitch black at 4:30pm is depressing!!! And all of the kids are grumpy this morning.

Wh and I had a very productive weekend. He built the round bale hay feeder for the horses while I did the grocery shopping. I helped get it into place and add finishing touches when I got home. Then a friend of ours who hunts deer here came by to ask about setting up his hunting blind. He hunts at the back of the 100 acres where "usually" the horses dont go. This time however they followed him back there and kept knocking over his shelter. So wh and I put up temporary fence for the winter paddock much to the horses dismay lol. All four are totally miserable being stuck up by the house but they have their huge shelter, hay feeder with a bale in it, water trough and mineral block. I get carrots delivered once a week and they get oats every couple of days. So they arent hurting lol.

We did take the kids out for Halloween. Most houses had a table set up with bowls of goodies. Anyone handing out had tongs lol. The kids enjoyed themselves. We all wore masks too. And funny enough the fire department didn't have their big set up so every house around the department had a back yard camp fire going lol. So funny. Never seen that before.

It snowed last night. Everything is white. That alone is enough to depress me. I hate winter!

It's cold here today. North west wind that just cuts.

No sooner got settled after the kids got off to school and the school calls. One kid only had ONE indoor shoe....I find it by the shoe rack. Also find twin A school agenda on the shoe rack..

So I walk my fat butt up to the school.

Walk there not so bad with the north wind at my back. The walk home wasnt as nice. Luckily my mask is the one that came with my ear flap winter hat and protects very well.

So I get home, head out to feed all the animals, get inside amd finally get the six layers off when the phone rings again....

Yep school. Again. Same kid who forgot his shoe has a headache and must go home. Ugh!

No way I could walk him all the way in this cold so I send a message to wh who picks him up and brings him home skipping his lunch. Poor wh.

I think my kids all get migraines because sound and light is bugging this kid. And I had one bad one last night that kept me awake.

So ya not a fan of winter. I would have driven the tractor up there but the chains are on the tires now and will rip up the road.

Pray that I can get another vehicle or ATV or something so I dont have to worry. I wish I had just signed the kids up for online instead of in class. Ugh!

Oh and Friday a neighbour came over. She was parked at the corner of our field waiting for the bus when she noticed one of our horses has quills in his face.

Yep one of the geldings took on a porcupine and lost. That was not fun trying to hold a 1500lb animal still while pulling them out.

I'm not crazy about winter but REALLY don't like snow (a whole season of it )! WR, you wouldn't be jealous if you had ever spent 6 or more months of dealing with it; needing to "rug up" every time you go out your door (boots, gloves, hat and more), having to shovel it every day and maybe several times any given day, being stuck at home because visibility is zero in the falling or blowing snow, needing to check weather predictions before making a trip *anywhere*, rescheduling everything several times because of the previous reasons, and on and on....... You may wish you could experience it ONCE, but it sure gets old! I'm with Dragn.

I think Dragn needs a ((((hug)))) today because this is only the beginning.

thebighurt summed it up nicely.

It's just hard to feel happy when it's always so gloomy. Days with sun are even colder and are usually very few.

Wh leaves for work in the dark and returns home in the dark. Hes always depressed in the winter. I have to clear the driveway a few times a day when it's really snowing plus paths to the aninals in the back. We have to keep the tractor plugged in just so it starts. We only have one electrical line outside that can run the heater for the horse trough so all the other birds, goats I have to lug buckets of water to. I did invest in a 100 foot hose that expands and is light as a feather(have the 50 foot and its awesome) so hopefully that will help.

Migraine city today. Big d has one too.

I'm all for that as long as we keep it so it's not pitch black my 4pm. That just seems ridiculous! This whole idea of time is only something humans created. When to get up when to eat when to sleep ...it just all feels unnatural. Yes I'm grumpy today and hate time. Lol

Tushnurse, thanks. The hospital ER was reeking with virus patients. Two doors down from my room they had sealed off the door to another exam room and were working frantically to try to save someone. The doctor said I should stay overnight but I wanted OUT of there. Yes I am doing follow up with a cardio doctor and lung doctor. Appointments next week. My daughter is staying with me. She's working from home anyway. I am so glad she was here. I'm feeling okay -- just 'okay' and I have been dealing with headaches. I have a big bump on the back of my head where I hit the TV table when I passed out. I had all sorts of test including xrays and a catscan. I am going to be okay. I just have to drink water and I'm doing that. I find I want to sleep more and ... sleeping ODD hours too.

Hope everyone else is doing well!

The house is lit up with full spectrum UV lights due to all the reptile cages. I could just go sit under one of those.

No it's the constant cold.

Spending extra time layering up, then undressing.

Looking outside and seeing nothing but black before I even have dinner cooked.

It wasnt so bad before with the work up to Christmas but even that's blah for me now. Just constant harping to buy buy buy and non stop bitching about how offensive christmas music is... then it arrives, is over in a few hours and it's back to the blahness of winter.

Hang in there my winter hating friends!!!!

I'm counting the days. I cant stand the darkness this early which is weird because I do enjoy being up late (or early, 1-2am) when it's all quiet.

Both boys are home from school. Big D

With a headache. He fell last week, hit his head on the gym floor. Wasnt sent home, no bruise or bump. Was fine all weekend, He pointed to the spot he hit when I asked where it hurt and he told his dad that he instantly got a headache when he walked into the gym yesterday.

DS has an upset stomach. He is eating and drinking. No vomiting, no diarrhea, no fever etc.

I cant send either back to school for a minimum of two days.

I am tired. During the day I find it hard to stay awake and then at night I cannot sleep. I'm also getting the hiccups when i try to eat, hiccup each time i swallow. If i dont stop eating i end up throwing up. And heartburn too. Ugh!

So....last night sudden onset nausea, stomach cramps, severe heartburn, mild fever. Was instantly exhausted. WH said I was pale. Went to bed early. Slept through the night.

This morning no fever but stomach is a mess. Cramps galore. Like its twisted in knots. I ate toast just so I'd have something to throw up. And I'm drinking but damn it hurts.

If this is what DS had it's no wonder he wanted to stay in bed.

My boys are better. Kept home another day as per protocol but should be able to go to school tomorrow.

I have a shit load of stuff to do and it's a beautiful day but I just dont think I can.

I'm going back to bed.

I also get a little pit in my stomach in June when the days get shorter.

I am usually sort of briefly depressed at the thought of days getting shorter just when summer begins, but especially this year affected me that way. Usually the longer sunlight into evening takes that away. I felt a bit depressed most of last summer, but this year was way worse. Blame it on the pandemic, like everything else that happens this year I guess.

I have to tell you all that have expressed not wanting to change the time in the future that it is Daylight Saving Time that you really want if you prefer to have it light later in the day. It is when we return the clocks to Standard Time that it gets dark this early. Conversely, marking time until the days get longer puts us into some of the worst of winter weather season for maybe months , so it comes with a bitter realization.

I've noticed that if I sit down to watch TV (more likely shows on the DVR), at around 8 pm each night I "miss" some of whatever is playing until I realize it and run it back to see what I slept through. Sometimes a whole show! Then there are nights I'm not ready to get to sleep when that time comes, so I'm up later than I want. sigh

Dragn, I hope you get everyone, including and especially yourself, feeling healthy soon.
