Hi guys! Part of my new beginning has included finding ways to help people who have been through experiences similar to mine... I think a great path to healing is to share your story and try to help others through that.

So I have collaborated with a very good friend of mine (she is also an XBS), and we have created our “baby.” It’s a podcast called First Wives Pod (available on Apple and Spotify), and we talk about our experiences of being betrayed, going through divorce, and look forward to sharing our paths to healing and building our new lives. We just launched our first episode with many more to come! I’m really proud of the work we’ve done, so I asked for permission to share it here in the hopes that maybe someone that needs to hear it, can listen. This group helped me through some really dark times, and I’m simply hoping to do the same for someone else through something I have a lot of passion for. If even one person finds it useful to listen... well, I’d be delighted. If you want to check it out, the link is below. Thanks, and much love :)

Fun podcast! And the similarities— ugh! Cheaters are so unoriginal.

Congrats!

I listened. Very impressed. I have listened to many podcasts and most of them put me to sleep. Yours was bright, upbeat and interesting. You and your friend have great chemistry. Your story was sad but you weren’t. In fact you two were examples of coming out the other side and thriving. I will listen next week. Keep it up. You are helping bs see the light as the end of the tunnel.

I listened today too! I think it's got some great potential. Have you thought about bringing in experts or other interviews with people who have gone through this? You two have great banter--you remind me of the two hosts of My Favourite Murder who are hilarious.

Thanks to all that have listened! I really appreciate the comments and feedback! We do have guests planned for future episodes, and plan to drop new content weekly. Being compared to Karen and Georgia... omg those two are my heroes!!! We also model ourselves a bit after Thanks It’s The Trauma, and Girls Gotta Eat. Lots of inspiration out there... but being betrayed spouses that have focused on our healing and building our new lives, we are excited to share our unique journey and hope to help people that are in the thick of their pain like we once were. This is my best new beginning yet and I am humbled by everyone’s support. Much love!

Loved it and had so many parallels to my own story in there too. It's funny - I read stories all the time on SI, but it was oddly more... impactful (?) I guess hearing a voice behind the words.

Oh yes for real! You’re pretty good at dishing out a healthy dose of reality, not always what I want, but always what I NEED. Lol I think one time I was considering letting my WH move back, and you were like “why? Can’t he work on himself without being under your roof? Did the OW just kick him out and that’s why he wants to come back?” I remember at the time I was like “dang I don’t want her to be right but she probably is....” ... And you were. Haha.

I listened to an episode. There needs to be more of these. In my own experience I found most material about infidelity is about reconciliation, not about life after or about recovering. I loved hearing about the sleuthing, story sharing.

Thank you.

Listened to all 3 podcasts (plus the trailer) on my walks this week. Very well done. You two have a great rapport. I look forward to more :)

I didn't divorce WH, but still can relate.

Thank you!
