I am on a clean eating lifestyle now due to my autoimmune. I need good recipes that do NOT involve avocado as it closes my throat. Does anyone have any they would like to share? Pecans are also a no-no as they bug my throat, too. Thanks!

I find a lot of recipes on the Skinnytaste website/IG. I most recently made her pumpkin oatmeal cups. They were very good.

I’ll second SkinnyTaste. Great website, great recipes. And any time you see pecan, sub another nut if you like.

I did check them out. They looked like they had some great ideas. Thank you for suggesting that.

I was going to send you a Word doc copy of a Clean Eating cookbook I wrote many years ago (one of my first). It is pretty simple but landed on the New York Times bestseller list for a bunch of weeks. However, I cannot message you.
That said, there are wonderful resources online. :-)

NorthernMSB, tell us more! What's it called? Is it available on Amazon?

Google anti-inflammatory diet. There is a TON of information out there and clear lists of foods to avoid.

Hey deena04! Just want to check and make sure you have an epipen & you carry it on you 24/7. Don't want to push unsolicited advice, just have a kiddo with multiple food allergies (and has experienced anaphylaxis), and I know a surprising number of adults with serious food allergies that get cocky about avoiding their allergen and stop renewing prescriptions for and/or just don't bother to carry with them outside of their house. Please be safe and carry an epipen if your throat could close up. ♡

Buying an epipen this week and re-upping my basic life support with the new epipen training
About food allergies and clean eating as weird as this may sound I try when possible to eat single or relatively low ingredient at a time of real food. I know it’s not exciting and not recipes per se but I feel the best personally.
That said, I enjoy things like
veggies with a tahini based dressing
a plate of fruits
a simple couple of ingredient tomato soup (tomatoes, salt, spices).
Cashew cream over fruit
Oatmeal with honey
Juicing works well for me too
I do find that I subtly feel better when I eat certain things over others, and I think the fewer ingredients help me figure that out and manage that better.

Great ideas and thank you for the EpiPen reminder. I have to admit I am kind of bad about it but I always check my food if I do go somewhere and make sure I know what is in it. Clean eating is making it seem harder to eat out, but when I did always checked carefully. I need to get better about carrying the pen just in case.

I sent you a VERY long message and tried to format it but it sent unexpectedly. lol Let me know if you need any more. I have three or four more clean eating books.
All my books are available on Amazon, about 50 of them.
And, of course, my clients books with Their name on them.
