I am very thankful today to look back on the posts from last week and see people who were thankful smile . Y'all made me SMILE grin !!

I am also thankful that the "Positive Reconciliation Stories" thread moved one post CLOSER to 28 pages...THANKS Notaboringwife!!!

More friends of mine contracted Covid...but thanks to the monoclonal antibody infusions...they have ALL recovered without having to go to the hospital...Thank You God!!! This therapeutic treatment works WELL...and hopefully it will be more widely used to keep more people OUT of the hospital.

My H and I are doing amazingly well this past year...and I am very THANKFUL that we have a somewhat normal...most would say boring laugh ...marriage. Only...it is MORE than the normal marriage we had before infidelity smile . I am LOVING it grin !!!

Covid hit my home and today is the day we can leave quarantine. It really puts R to the test when we are all home not feeling well and our boy with autism is swinging from the rafters like a monkey.

We have done well my W has been so good to me keeping me medicated and hydrated.

Thankful for SI being such a big part of my healing.

For years here, I would drop by to see how folks were doing and get hit with triggers and reminders.

I think this week was the first time I checked in and was just able to try and pay a little forward — no flashbacks or triggers. Nothing. Zip.

I just see people in pain, in a place I used to be (for at least 3 years) and I get to honestly relate to them that healing from the horror show is possible.

It’s weird not ‘needing’ to be here everyday in hopes of finding answers or simply sharing my misery.

A lot of help here. So many different ways to move forward from those worst days with hundreds of kindred spirits sharing their experiences.

This is a weird thing to be thankful for, but...... A few years ago I painted our bedroom a beautiful shade of green and cream. It took me five days - I am a slow painter and it's a complicated room with a lot of 1930s charm: three doors, two windows, base trim, crown molding,a giant arch over our bed, and two (very small) closets. But I love every bit of it. Looking at it still makes me happy 😊

Alright I waited all day for someone else to be thankful. Is it bad luck to post consecutive posts a week apart? I’m 2 days past the 2 year antiversary of Dday and I’m thankful. Bring it on!! Time is healing.

Tuesday my Son was out of quarantine and had his first day of school, exactly two days, last night we get notified that the school is closed for 2 weeks because of a few positive cases.

Good news is not having to get his grumpy ass ready in the morning 😀. So today specifically I thankful for regular season football!!! Go Cowboys!!!

ETA. This post is brought to you by Bud Light Platinum 😀

Today I am thankful that I am able to write in the "Thankful Thursday" thread grin !!!

Hurricane Ida came barreling into my Beloved Bayou Country on August 29th...and things haven't been the same since. Electricity has been off since that time...but Thank God for those AWESOME linemen!! We have a traffic light back up...what a glorious sight to see!!

The CARE...COMPASSION...and LOVE that has been shown to us in southeast Louisiana is overwhelming...and so very much appreciated smile .

I am so THANKFUL to the wonderful people who have been showing up to help us in our dire circumstances. This traumatic event has most of us walking around like zombies...not knowing what to do next. But the DO-ERS are here to the rescue!! They have seen this before...they know what to do...and they are helping with the patience of a Saint!

Thank God for the AMAZING people in this country!!!

First thanks for the update. We have been in prayer for the people of Bayou County, our beloved neighbors to the east. When Houston flooded the Cajun Navy showed up rescued a lot of people, we have great people in this country.

Yes I’ve had a few too many tonight but I have to drink during football, I’m a Cowboy fan, and my boy won’t get away from the TV. But, I promise I will not venture into any other threads until tomorrow, I don’t want to wake up tomorrow and say “oh shit wonder what I said”. 🤣🤣

Today I am thankful for ELECTRICITY grin !! We actually got it back late last week...but I hadn't posted since then so I am posting about it now laugh !! It is a BEAUTIFUL fall day here...and the humidity is down so hopefully some of this water can now evaporate. Of course...that will cause the humidity to come back...but at least it will be in the air and MAYBE I will be able to cut my grass without water flying out of the back laugh !!!

Still no internet or cable...but I am thankful for hotspots that get us going again smile . As devastating as this storm was...the BEAUTY of the people from ALL OVER is shining through...and I am so very THANKFUL that I am able to see how we truly are a nation of GIVERS and HELPERS...Thank You God grin !!!

We had been renting on our new adventures in the Pacific Northwest, but I’m thankful we decided to get a little house up here in this little corner of the USA to catch some more ocean sunsets.

I’m not thankful I have to move furniture again — but it will not move itself!

Tanner...I am very happy to see that y'all recovered well from Covid Coozann grin !! I had a family member test positive for Covid last week...and one day later they had the monoclonal antibody infusion. It has worked so WELL...and he is feeling fantastic!

Since his wife was exposed...she asked her doctor about the infusion. The doctor gave her the same monoclonal antibody treatment...but in a subcutaneous injection. I had never heard of that before! She ended up testing positive for Covid two days later...but she had no fever or symptoms. I am very HAPPY to see there is this treatment as well smile .

Oldwounds...y'alls move sounds absolutely Heavenly smile . I have never been to that area of the country...but you describe it so well. We may have to take a road trip to the Pacific Northwest one day on our Gold Wing!

I am thankful that I have been able to cut my grass!! No more branches...shingles...or other debris from Hurricane Ida. It has all been picked up and hauled to the road smile . We still don't have internet or TV service...but there are still some poor souls here who don't have electricity...over a month AFTER Ida hit sad . Heck...some of them still don't have housing...and that is all I am going to say about that because then it will get political and not very nice about my fellow American citizens having to live this way while....

My H and I are spending our time without TV by playing cards...mostly rummy smile . He wins most of the time...but it is still fun just being the two of us smile . I am so very THANKFUL that we connect in so many ways. We always did. Only...NOW...it is different. We don't take this very special GIFT for granted anymore. We actually CHERISH each other again...and I am so thankful that this part is back for us smile .

It's been a rough day today (due to work) so I'm going to go with being grateful for the small things. In particular, my former boss gave me a Christmas present one year of the world's softest blanket. I've had it for about four years now and it's still super cozy, super soft, very warm and just nice to cuddle up with. Plus it's a beautiful green and blue blanket - my two favorite colors smile

GOOD MORNING SIers grin !!! Another Thursday...another day to be THANKFUL smile !!!

outofsorts ...I hope your workdays have gotten much better (((HUGS))). That blanket sounds very comforting too!! Blue and green are calming colors...good choices for your favorites smile . Guess what MINE is???? SUNNY yellow grin !!!

So MANY things to be thankful for today...but since this is the Reconciliation Forum...I will focus on our R smile . My H and I hug at least 4 times every day before we go about our day. I read somewhere that we need at least 4 hugs a day to thrive...so when better to do it than right before we leave OUR sanctuary smile ?!

This morning though...for our first hug...my H lingered with it...like he was absorbing me into his body. Oh gosh y'all...those just make me feel like we are ONE...like God wanted us to be grin . Then he whispered into my ear..."Thank you for loving me". Yep smile . That's what it is all about folks...and it truly doesn't get much better than that smile .

Here's to LOVE grin ! May we all have it...and may we all FEEL it smile . Thank You God for being...LOVE!!!

Thankful for holding hands while we walked around our neighbourhood earlier in the day. Thankful that I am writing this post for others to read. Thankful that I am reading other's posts. smile
