I was thinking about you today DS, I'm so sorry you are gone.

(((Group hug)))

Always in our hearts. I still feel the light from having you in my life for those (too few) years. You truly are always with me.

Just today I took the gnome you gave me and gave it a little rub and said 'love you, friend'.

There isn't a day that goes by that your name doesn't come up, either out of my mouth or in my heart with a thought, a memory, a beautiful flower, or a bird flying by.

DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.

I meant to share this last week. I teach Sunday School at my church. My class ranges from ds25 to a sweet lady who just turned 93 and all in between. I had put DS on our prayer list when she was first diagnosed. I gave her first name and tried my best to explain what she meant to me and JM. I had updated the class after Christmas, but this one gentleman was not there that day. Anyway, last Sunday, this sweet man who is 83 or 84 came to me after church and said, "I've been meaning to ask about your friend J***. How is she doing?"

I couldn't breathe for a second. I told him that she had passed away on Christmas. He had tears in his eyes and hugged me. He said "I could tell she meant a lot to you. I'm so sorry. I will keep praying for her family."

MH, I just want you to know, this is a little old Southern Baptist deacon who prays about 3 hours every day. And he has you on his list daily.

He's also praying for everyone who has found or will find the need for SI.

Him, 48 (JMSSC)

I often think of dear DS - Particularly when I am watching Survivor! She was such a fan and loved talking over each episode. I think she would have liked this season.

Love isn't what you say, it's what you do.

Missing you, my dear DS.

Hey DS! Survivor was awesome this season! You would have enjoyed it. And the winner actually deserved it - she played a flawless game.

Miss you! MH hoping that knowing she left a handprint on everyone's heart brings a smile to your heart.

I think of you every day, sweet DS. It doesn't seem possible to exist in a world where you are no longer with us. I miss your smile, your wit, your snark and your compassion. Thank you for creating this site with MH. You saved countless lives. 💜

She packed up her potential and all she had learned and headed out to change a few things.

I just went into my PMs and found one from you DS, supporting me when I was down. I don't understand how people are chosen to die young, and other not so nice people live so much longer. I feel like in a fair world, the good people would live to be crazy old wise people that everyone loves and admires. I re-read this thread to find the post where you talked about good luck tequila shots before chemo. I wish I could have met you IRL.

Saw a misspelled topic and was thinking of you DS. How we laughed (in pm) about how spelling can change the entire meaning of a post.

My dog got a haircut and hope you can see it from there since I can't send you a picture. MH pray for you often.

One of our July 4th dishes is always red, white & blue chips & salsa. Until we met DS & MH the white was always simply the white chips. THEN we went to Houston and discovered CHUY'S - or rather not discovered, we were introduced to this yummy food by the gracious host & hostess. They had a creamy jalapeno dip that is to die for. DS said she had a copy cat recipe and she sent it to me. So that has become the new *white* in our red, white & blue.

MrL pulled out the recipe, I put the dip together. Afterwards I said that I was thinking of DS while I was making it. MrL said I thought of her too when I pulled out the recipe.

We miss you DS! Thanks for adding the spice to our salsa spread!

Love isn't what you say, it's what you do.

Saw Hello Kitty earrings in the store. I said to LD, I would have bought these for DS.

How is it getting harder? There are so many reminders. It just doesn't seem fair that she was taken so soon. She enjoyed life so much, her smile lit up a room and she touched every person that she came in contact with.

I just don't understand how there are so many shitty people still on this earth and our dear DS is gone. I will never understand it, and I don't think I'll ever accept it.

DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.

Was thinking of the pics of your pups and the pool. Hope it is snake free this year MH.

AN, I often wonder the same thing. Seems life would be more fair if we had DS and a zillion child abusers went first.
