I got mine today. I stood on the porch, opening them while tears streamed down my face.

"Venkman, did you see him?"

"He (gliitered) me Ray."

Forgive me for being politically incorrect but, a straight man should not have this much glitter on him unless he is walking out of a strip club.

Cookie, please accept a virtual high-five.

This all is pretty cool.

While I managed to get most of the metric ton of shiny purpley-pink fairy dust that poured out of cant's card into the bowl, booger's stealth bomb got all over me, and the cat (who inspected the entire process).

It's difficult to strut around being all manly and stuff when you're covered with glitter.

But I really enjoyed opening every one, and seeing the screen names I know so well.

NOW it's feeling like Christmas.

Got a bunch of cards! Tons of glitter (I'm talking to you cant!), a pretty penny, and CATNIP!

MY fat ass, old, disabled cat climbed up the stool I had in the kitchen, got on the counter, climbed back down and was licking the packet of catnip like it was the last ham in the store.

I had to take it away to open it up for him and he gave me the nastiest look!

Pretty sure he needs a snack now.

I'm going to get mooshy here...

I am such a loner that I am always self conscious about the 10 Christmas Cards I get every year - wow - I can't tell you how much this means to me after such a shitty year!

Group Hug!

btw - is glitter bad for dogs?

The cards are hanging right above where she likes to lay.

Guess I'll let you know.

a straight man should not have this much glitter on him

They're heeeere!!!

My apartment is next to the mailboxes in the lobby. Postman knocks on the door, hands me a parcel. I try not to be disappointed, but I know he hasn't finished putting all the mail in the boxes yet.

2 minutes later, he knocks on the door again. He has a HUGE stack of cards that won't fit in the box. He was totally bewildered, and English isn't his first language, so conversation goes like this:

PM: "You got so many card...and all come at the SAME TIME."

me: "Yeah, it's a...club I belong to..."

PM: "But all come at the SAME TIME."

I go inside and start sorting the IRL mail from SI mail. Hmmm, pink glitter coating all of my bills. Who is responsible for pink glitter? Anyone? Anyone?

Another knock at the door. It's the postman again: "I just want to tell you I'm taking tomorrow off."

And that has what to do with me, exactly?

Thanks so much guys! I am going to open them tonight and savor each one!!

First, high y'all ... haven't been around in a couple of weeks. I got mine today, so I have been glitterized! Funniest card awards go to Can't/SerJr and Chria but I enjoyed every single one.

And for those of you who MADE your cards ...

Cant... I would classify yours more as pink/purple sand... it was sooooo fine.

I think of glitter as more .... I don't know, chunky?

Oh Cookie, how cute!!!

I got to open my cards tonight while DD watched (she didn't want glitter all over her so she just watched me open them!)

This has become one of my most favorite holiday traditions and I can't tell you guys how much I look forward to this every year!!!

I love the hand-written notes (I ran out of time for that this year so will have to start earlier next year), love all the different glitters, DD did take the two stickee holiday pieces, love the pic of you and the pups Willie'smom!, love the hand-made cards!!!! There's a lot of warmth and glitter in my home tonight!!!!

Cookie's story will now live on in SI Xmas Card Infamy!

Jayne~ great!

sadcat ~ awww...I'm glad your fur baby went for that catnip packet ("like it was the last ham in the store"!). I almost choked on a pinto bean reading about it (my dinner is a naked vegetarian burrito).

I got more cards just now and a surprise package...wait, the latter belongs in NB.

****Group Hug**** yeah!
