The first group had 3 in it about 50 more came yesterday.

There was a stack on the counter when I got home, when I saw them I giggled.

I then went downstairs and got DD19 and asked her if she wanted to help open them. She was almost as excited as I was.

I got a big bowl and we sat at the kitchen table and commenced opening.

First we would shake them to see if they made any noise. Then we would open them over the bowl because some of them were pesky and didn't make any noise but they exploded glitter.

Many ohhhs and awwwws and a couple of oh shits!

I took pictures and will post them tonight.

FWS sat and watched, he was a little lost. He didn't know where they all came from. He just doesn't understand SI and what it means. In the end he had one little piece of glitter in his mustache, it was blueish green, I didn't say anything. It was kind of ironic.

Thank you, all of you, who took the time to write a note and for simply taking the time to do this. I really needed your holiday wishes yesterday.

My heart is smiling just thinking about it.

I got my packet last night; I had to sternly remind mom not to open any of them-she would have freaked at the glitter!

I was having a bit of an emotional day yesterday, so the cards were especially welcome. My LOL moment:

One of the cards had little glittery words in it; when I pulled it out of the envelope, one of the words fell out, so when I opened this card, there was one little 'HO' sitting on the card. Made my night!

Yes, you guys have given us an early Christmas! Aisling got home late last night from her daddy's and she commenced to open a few cards by herself (without any warning from me I might add) I stayed home sick today and felt horrible, but when I went to the kitchen I had to laugh- there was glitter everywhere! She came down after that and we finished opening the cards and had a really wonderful Christmas moment- I am finally feeling it again after two years! And now, the floor is glittered, the counter is glittered, the sink is glittered....the little stupey beagle is glittered.....so much fun and even JOY from that. Never would've thought I had joy in my future again, thanks so so so much everyone. and from her also. You guys are the best. Donation on it's way since I forgot to send the card with the others...and think about that cookie exchange.....4,000 cookies....

eta: great minds think alike- I got two sets of duplicates- dreamlife and crescita sent the same one as did leapyearbaby and wh5 and br! and can't- we loved the free beer one and the ones of you that had handmade cards you are awesome!!

I got back yesterday from being out of town to a whole big stack of cards. Yay!

Have not opened them yet but someones has sprung a leak all over my table already

For those of you who expected cards from me I apologize. I sent a MAN to do a woman's job and he got them to DS not only late but out of order So DS did her best with the leftover labels she had. You were all thought of and glittered but good!

Just to make up for it... DS, next year I am sending them to you on November-day-after-Thanksgiving with not only my own glitter but recycled glitter collected right back at ya!!!

DS and MH are now like this: and wondering should they ban me from SI.

Everyone have a wonderful, safe, happy, and healthy holiday season and continued hopes and prayers for the New Year! I love my SI peeps

We got about half the cards today. Its really hard to carefully open glitter filled cards with a dog in your lap trying to give kisses. Mulder now has a sparkly head.

aisling actually checked the mail today- a first, and we got two cards and she said "we got glitter!" one was from a friend that she idolizes and all she said was "humph. no glitter." There's a new glitter sheriff in town and those cards better meet standards!!

Well you should all be very pleased. DS and MH sent me a Christmas package. I opened the box and decided I could open the cards but would leave everything else a surprise until Christmas. I may or may not be accused in the mod forum of not being able to keep Christmas surprises to myself .

So.. I just opened the cards that were forwarded from some of you. However.. because I didn't send any this year.. I FORGOT ABOUT THE GLITTER.

I opened one so far..and there is glitter everywhere. On me, on the floor, on the couch

There's a second one, and it's so full of glitter that it's leaking out the sides. I'm scared to open it

Go softly my sweet friend. You will always be a part of who I am.
