I received 47 cards in my mailbox today.

My 87yr old mother and I opened a bottle of very nice wine and spent a long while opening cards and drinking. Now I am hanging them up. My mom has green glitter on her face.

Thank you everyone, that was fun!

Hey you all, and especially DS & MH, thanks!! It seems like the past couple years around this time things have hit a low, and then the cards have come and I feel a lightness come into my heart (and I smile a lot doing my cards to send, too).

I'm opening mine in stages, kind of like Charlie ate the chocolate bar in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. I have my 9" round cake pan on hand to collect the excess glitter, but I'm starting to notice things in the house are glistening more than they were a few days ago anyway!

Me too! I gave the postman his holiday gift this year, then went to my mailbox and there was one measly flyer from a sushi restaurant!?*@!

Are Moo and I persona non grata, or do we just live too far away? Is California an AGZ (anti-glitter zone)? Only tomorrow will tell....
