I bet Tracionada is just tired from all the work she has been doing helping others. I heard a rumor she made a mask just by weaving her hair around her face . Other than the Tred marks from lack of toilet paper, all is good in our house.

Still upright. All 4 foot 11 inches of me.

I made turkey and dressing yesterday and it's not even Thanksgiving yet. I finally heard from a close friend in NYC that I was worried about and he's fine.

Great news.

That’s one hard thing that I haven’t heard spoken of very often.

Those people that we think of that we may not have anyway to contact.

So far, it’s been a blessing that I have not known of any one who is personally important to me being sick.

But that doesn’t soften the blow for all of those people I don’t know personally who are facing illness and losing loved ones.

Everyone stay safe!!!

Still safe, talking to all my boys each day just to let them know I'm still here and to find out how they are coping with things.

Our original containment period was till 19 April, now it's been extended a week. I'll be surprised if we actually go back then either.

Everyone all good!!

We are okay here in NY. We had the most deaths across the state yesterday since this started. However I have faith the numbers will be dropping.

All good here. Except I've told my husband I am NOT SPEAKING to him if he doesn't put his hearing aides on. I'm so sick of hearing "hmmm?"

I'm tired of reading, binge watching, cleaning closets. I put out a call to the neighborhood, asking if anyone had a jigsaw puzzle in their yard sale stash. So I'm working on the northern lights!

I think I JUST might be getting tired of eating the wrong things...

The virus is starting to hit in my small area. I'm rural. Three small 'towns' (population less than 2000) around me are reporting new cases today. Our first out here. Just when we thought it might be easing up. 4,591 people died yesterday in the USA -- that we KNOW of -- from the virus. Idiots from highest level down to small town administrators suggesting we can start 'opening back up' and that is just insane.

I just want it to get warm and stay warm so I can be outside, working in my yard. Another 'artic' cold front hit during the night and I had to get out socks and sweats again. How depressing! I haven't been warm since last September! I want sunshine! I feel ok ... just like everyone else though, tired of it all and feeling so bad for the families with deaths to deal with.

I know how you feel. I think this is beginning to get to a lot of us.

One of my sons who lives with me has a custody agreement with the mother of his child. She brings the baby here about three days out of seven each week. She has not been here for the past 3 to 4 weeks because they both have felt poorly… Not virus symptoms… And out of a degree of being careful.

They will be coming back on Sunday, and I guess I have no choice but to stay in the bedroom with the doors closed and the curtains pulled at the sliding doors. Maybe she will think we are not here. (Of course my husband is always in the bed 24 seven, so she expects him to be in the bed.) When she thinks we are in the bedroom, she comes to our door and knocks on the door with the palm of her hand just jabbering away… Even though she is not speaking clearly yet.

I’m not sure how I am going to be able to sit quietly and not respond.

Don’t you think that would be better than trying to talk to her through the door… When she can’t understand what is happening?

I have been trying to talk myself into the fact that it would be OK to have gloves and a mask on and to hold her and touch her. She and her mom have not been anywhere except at her mothers house. But her mother does go out and about in the community to work.

There is being careful, and there is being obsessive. I’m not sure where one stops and the other starts… And I certainly don’t want to be less careful just because I so need to touch my granddaughter.

But, physically, we’re very greateful to still be OK.

Y’all all stay safe and healthy.

I'm good. 2 DSs are good. DS3 (in Netherlands) has a bad cough with a mild fever

He keeps saying it's all good though, and I am talking to him 2 or 3 times a day. His cough sounds bad, it is dry. He only has a mild fever (38-38.5) though. When he called the dr they said to come in if it gets worse, so I guess that means it's not toooooooo bad?? I do worry about him.

Stay safe everyone!!

So far so good here. I'm in the 65+ demo, healthy and fortunate to live on the west coast where we are managing to bend that curve with a vengeance. My city is smallish, and my local grocery, bakery and booze outlets have the distancing measures down pat, they were on it right away and it seems everyone is on board with it.

I ordered some stretchy pull-up neck/balaclava/headband bandanna thingies last month that are super handy for those masking moments, have some higher-grade ones on order, and anything I bring home stays in my foyer for the requisite times for the beast to die.

Washing the groceries, disinfecting doorknobs, light switches and keys etc., and washing the bandannas the moment they come home are all the new normal.

I live alone in a mansion with only three other apartments, and the landlady is a retired doctor, so we have hand sanitizer in the front hallway and a sign on the door for the tradespeople. We're getting a new roof this week and the crew has access to a separate powder room for handwashing.

Health officer just announced another month before they're going to consider opening things up a bit, they're being extremely cautious.

I'm retired, and had a nice tax credit appear in my account that covers this month's groceries on top of my pension. I think there's another one coming in May.

The federal government's income supports for workers are for four months, and they're rolling out more for small business, but who knows what's going to survive when everyone finally breathes again.

I think restaurants are going to be the biggest cull, as a lot of them were on the ropes to begin with. This is a tourism town relying heavily on cruise ship business and tours from Asia, so the city may not recover in its previous form.

As an introvert who loves to cook and eat, I'm packing on a few pounds, but whatever. Daily bike rides and walks are mitigating that a little. Or so I like to think... Oh, and they stopped taking empties, so those are really piling up as I don't want the recycle bin to reveal the true level of my wine consumption!

Very thankful to be flying solo right now. I have a trip planned to go to the Maritimes in August, so fingers are xxxed that the restrictions will lift long enough to get my house-hunting in out there.

I want to buy in with a BFF and move coasts this year of all years... Could be that the planets will align for us and it'll happen, wish us luck!

Take care everyone. Now go wash your hands!

Physically, okay. Mentally, eh. Trying not to let my anxiety get the best of me, but I'm very worried about some close family members that are 60+, and immuncompromised while they go for treatment for underlying conditions.

Staying in a small 3-room NYC apartment with WH and two kids, which works great normally when we can go out all the time. Now it feels... tight.

And hearing ambulance sirens outside around the clock doesn't help much either.

I'm OK. Some moments are better than others.

I'm grateful that my husband is still working/getting paid (special education teacher). Our lives are going to get a bit messier as he tries to teach via telehealth next week!!!

We're enjoying the free food from our school district. It's nice to have a variety of things that I typically don't purchase.

I miss going places.

XH and I changed our visiting schedule. The kids (12 and 13) stay here for a week and there for a week and so on. The weeks that they are gone are rough. And then it's a transition when they get back... my littles (1 and 3) don't really understand what's going on. DS3 knows we can't go places because people are getting sick.

Failure is success if we learn from it.

Time for another show of hands.

Whatsright, hope you are coping well. Finally getting warmer here so I can get outside and work on my yard, plants some flowers, which is great as I don't have to worry about running into anyone. My heart goes out to so many people having to deal with the deaths and not even a funeral to help with closure.

The head of CDC says warmer temps will help kill off the virus but we have to worry about it coming back with the cold weather next winter. Not very encouraging.

Our new normal, a world with face masks - may not be what we expect or want but I think it's a reality.

Stay in and stay safe, don't get out too soon.

I'm all good, as are DS1 (lives in London) and DS2 (lives with me). DS1 is stuck at home, but still getting 80% of his salary. DS2 (almost 25) is still trying to figure out what he wants to be when he grows up!!

DS3 is healthy himself, and uni has gone from shut down to virtual (via zoom). As most of you know from my other thread, his friend is in icu with a severe case of covid-19, and the drs don't think she is going to make it. So DS is very worried about her and her mother, who hasn't been able to see the friend since she went into the hospital.

Stay safe everyone!!
