Getting my first one a week from today. We're a bit slowish out of the gate here, but it is what it is.

Staying in my bubble of one until midsummer at least. I'm 68 and don't want to catch the Brazilian which is running the show where I live.

We aren't really locked down here, just strongly encouraged to postpone gathering until more folks can get vaxxed. Which *everyone* is adhering to of course. NOT.

We still have patio dining and schools are open, but I'm waiting a few more weeks to do anything remotely risky. You really don't want the Brazilian. Young folks hospitalized for months if they even survive it.

I feel for my friends in Ontario. The wheels are really coming off.

Barcher, I had J&J, no effects.

I ended up cancelling my Thursday appointment for the vaccine and I re-scheduled it for Saturday. The stuff that I had going on that Friday was seriously too important to miss. I just felt safer postponing the vaccine.

The day after the vaccine... I felt fine when I woke up. I literally thought, hey no side effects. About an hour later, though, I noticed that I was tired and I lacked the gumption to do much of anything. I was 100% fine two days later.

So, in the end... I postponed the vaccine by two days to avoid missing something critically important... and in the end, I felt good enough post-vaccine to do that critically important stuff anyway.

That was two+ weeks ago. I'm now officially "fully vaccinated".

My second dose was last week. By midday I was feeling crappy, but not terrible. The next day I really didn't have much energy with minor head and body aches. I had already taken the day off so just took it easy. The second day after I was fine. Just another week until I'm considered fully vax'd

Yep. Its bad. 4400+ new cases today.

Virtual school starts tomorrow. I picked up three chromebooks from the school this morning. Got them all set up. Even brought up a spare table from the basement so the kids have their own space.

Age for vaccine is down to 40 now. I can make my appointment.

I have a lot of friends in Ontario too and I feel so badly for them. I wonder WHAT has caused the spike in cases there? I talked to one friend and he is finally getting his first vaccine this week. Is there a shortage of vaccine there?

My opinion is that its a combination of not enough vaccine and way to many people not abiding by the public health measures.

Still many people refusing to wear masks or stay 6 ft apart and gathering in large groups. Its a shit show.

I got my 2nd Pfizer on Sunday. I had read a few places about being extra hydrated. I drink about 80 oz of water daily but I went to 120 Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

No problems at all. The injection site was tender if I pushed on it but that is always normal for me. My temp is usually 97.1-97.7. It was 98 on Monday so maybe?

So relieved 🥲. Getting closer to going home and seeing my parents!

Definitely staying with the masks. It’s pretty much the norm at this point and the area is adhering as well.

Well...If you still have reservations on getting vaccinated, the latest CDC guidance should push you to getting it.

The data is showing that being vaccinated not only significantly reduces your chances of getting seriously sick (hospitalized, death) but even from contracting it. Which means you are EXTREMELY unlikely to be a spreader.

Get the vaccine and help end this pandemic.
