I'm another oldtimer coming home to honor my dear friend. If not for this beautiful woman I would not be living. I've always believed that DS and MH's love and friendship literally saved my life...and marriage. We did indeed survive infidelity.

DS always knew what to say to give encouragement and remind me to keep fighting for love. One particularly difficult night, she said to me, "Scout, you got sand."

It was something that her dad said to her to remind her that she was strong, tough and courageous. Her love and encouragement carried me through the most difficult time of my life and our friendship has remained strong through all of these years.

I love you, sweet friend. You will always be in my heart.

Thinking of you, dear MH.

I am so very, very sorry, MH. My sincerest condolences on the loss of such a wonderful and supportive lady. She gave so much of herself, and her life to help us. You and she created a support site like no other, for both BS and WS, and greatly impacted our lives.

My H was on SI just before dinner, and, for some reason, I knew! He came running downstairs, in tears. What devastating and heartbreaking news.

Words cannot express how we both feel, but, please know that you and DS saved us, saved our marriage, and we are closer than ever after more than 49 years together.

Yesterday, I received an angel bell as a Christmas gift from my son and dear DIL. I related the story from the film, It's A Wonderful Life, at the very end, when the young daughter tells her father that every time a bell rings an angel gets her wings.

DS has her wings now, and she is wrapped in God's loving arms.

Oh MH! I'm so deeply sorry for the loss of your beloved DS. Though I never met her in real life, her passion for this site, and all of us on it, and her love and devotion to you and to making your marriage stronger, healthier and to continue to grow and develop as a person were and will continue to be awe inspiring to all who loved her. I pray that you find comfort here and in the words and hearts of those near and dear to you both.

I originally joined SI as a way to help my best friends find ways of coping with infidelity, but now infidelity has touched my family much closer to home.

I never met DS, but feel like I lost a close friend. I came here in 2002. This forum you two angels created saved my sanity, and my marriage.

Both of you have personally touched hurting souls like few have ever done.

I am so sorry for your loss. She was such a special angel, God just decided he needed her in Heaven.

MH, you have thousands of hearts praying for you. I wish peace for you.

I can't help but be reminded of the earlier post this month about her homecoming.

She has truly had a joyous homecoming now.

Our prayers have all been answered

I finally arrived

The healing that had been delayed

has now been realized

No one's in a hurry

There's no schedule to keep

We're all enjoying Jesus

Just sitting at His feet

If you could see me now

I'm walking streets of gold

If you could see me now

I'm standing tall and whole

If you could see me now

You'd know I've seen His face

If you could see me now

You'd know the pain's erased

You wouldn't want me

To ever leave this place

If you could see me now

My light and temporary trials

Have worked out for my good

To know it brought Him glory

When I misunderstood

Though we've had our sorrows

They can never compare

To what Jesus has in store for us

No language can share - Don Moen

I can't find the words to say how sad & empty I feel at learning the news. Not the outcome that had been hoped & prayed for by so many.

((MH)) I'm so very sorry. I will never be able to repay the debt I owe you & DS for creating this lifeline that saved my life. I wish we could have done the same for DS.

Oh DS, dear DS, I thought you had longer.

MH, I am so incredibly sad and shocked for you. My deepest condolences. Thank you for telling us her passing was without pain and fear. I hope she felt - feels - surrounded by our great love, admiration and affection for her.

Rest in peace now dearest DS.
