my daughter is out of town visiting her cheating father. i had an ugly exchange about the irs with her as intermediary for her lying father but then i told her she had 47 cards to open when she got home. she's twenty three, but the excitement was palpable when I told her that. she asked who from??? and i said friends of mine from my chat board and she said "cooollll"

now she can't wait to get home and I've stolen a march on his birthday with her....thanks si, you guys all rock...and ds... maybe next year we could have a cookie exchange...that would make all things perfect..but u n mh would b covered in sugar instead of glitter...n sticking to your beautiful coutertops...wait, bad idea...

OMG, I sent out some big red poinsettia cards along with many different others, but I was almost certain that I had signed & written in ALL of them!

If I'm the guilty party (there should be one or more of the following: silver party glitter, a silver or blue snowflake, a catnip packet, and a strip of silver glitter craft ribbon bookmark), my super huge apologies, NA!

Boy there wasn't much holding back on the glitter for me. Someone sent a whole pile of fine white glitter. The user shall remain anonymous so I can plot my revenge.

And three mentioned pedis.

Wait... I think I mentioned the Pedi...

I can't remember now... I wrote every single card out on Thanksgiving day...

It's a blur... my hand still hurts!

But since mine were Hanukkah cards, I didn't have to cut Moo the "Christmas break" that Mama did.

I didn't get anymore today... I could've used some too.

Okay, no HOHOHO on the forehead.

Too much glitter. On my face. In my hair. And the hohohos should be sent to Mr. Fucklenuttz.

Favorite card: Sprouts by IWBH.

And as a special thank you, and a rather special SIer in mind, I am paying it forward. Donation to SI to be made.

Thanks, special person.

I got 3 today!

DD and I were on our way out to get pizza ("Peesa-pie").

I figured since there were only 3 that the glitter factor wouldn't be that bad, and I opened them in the restaurant...

Let's just say that it's going to be a long time before the good people at Mary's Pizza Shack invite me back!

I got a bunch of cards yesterday and another big ol' stack of them today.

I don't have them all open yet 'cuz I'm doing a few everyday and enjoying them as I go.

I enjoy the glitter bombs too, thank you very much! I'm becoming pretty good about opening them w/o getting too much spillage all over myself and everything else. Maybe I should get a job with a local bomb squad. But then again, maybe not.LOL!

It's really cool all the time and effort everyone went to for this. Some of the cards are handmade. *cherish* Some are funny. I love funny. Funny is always good. There's not enough funny in this lifetime anyway. Some have little goodies tucked into them, like a little silver snowflake or a shiny new glittery bookmark.*loves* Some of them have just downright cracked me up. Like the little saying inside will be "Best Wishes and Happy Holidays" or something like that and then it'll be signed by the person's user name used here that will be something to the effect of "ain't never gonna happen" or "no frikkn' way". On those, I had to just savor the irony and sit there and laugh for a few minutes.

I want to say I love all of y'all for the beautiful wonderful cards you've sent me. Thank you so very much for your thoughts and taking the time and effort for this. They do help me get through the holidays which have been especially hard on me the last few years.

May you all get everything you want and have lots of inner peace and a wonderful holiday.

Oh, HB ~ I echo the sentiment you have just expressed.

And, how I still remember the very first time I participated in the card exchange here and how receiving something palpable instead of just reading SI posts on my screen was pure MAGIC.

Utter JOY!

It made it *real* and the pain from WH lessened.

That is the best part of the card exchange, dreamlife It REALLY does help to get me out of the pre-Christmas funk and it does help to lessen the pain. It's nice to feel like someone (okay, A LOT of someone's) truly care about you You are all awesome...especially MH & DS and their over 4,000 labels

They're heeeeeeere!

Ready, with my trusty Letter Opener and a big bowl.

The aftermath.

The aftermath on me.

Mind you, Cant's card literally exploded when I stuck my letter opener inside. The rest had glitter trickling out, but Cant's went *POOF!* and a big cloud of glitter dust flew up into the air - and my eyes. I had to take a break halfway through the stack to rinse my eye with water for like six minutes.
