I've been struggling lately. I have something going on with my inner ear and/or sinuses that has made me feel like I'm on a boat for the last 5 weeks (not covid, I've been tested twice). For a clumsy bitch like me it's really annoying and frustrating. Plus I decided to get back on an antidepressant because I've just been really having to try for my normal sassiness.

But today, boathead and all, I cleaned my WHOLE house. 2.5 bathrooms, mopped all the floors (soap and rinsed), steam cleaned my bedroom carpet, wiped down walls, cleaned all the baseboards, dusted all the things, super cleaned my ceiling fan, scrubbed all the litterboxes, cleaned the gecko tanks, and am working on my last 2 loads of laundry. Tbh I don't think the house has ever been this clean all at once. I feel grungy and my hair looks like a cockatoo cus of the sweat and dirt lol so am gonna go take a hot shower then go get a pedicure.

I just felt good today and am proud of going overboard with the cleaning cus I haven't felt motivated for the last month.

What are you proud of yourself for today?

Omg, a couple of months ago i got a really bad ear infection and it gave me vertigo that was so bad that i couldnt even keep down a sip of water for 3 full days.

That was the worst. The doctor almost gave me an IV for dehydration, but i convinced him i just needed anti-nausea meds, and once i could drink i was okay.

I am proud of myself for doing absolutely nothing today and practicing self care by playing a fun video game and abstaining from alcohol this kid-free weekend.

Of course i should have done a million other things instead, but oh well.

I'm so sorry you're dealing with the dizziness, I hope it gets better soon. Did your doc tell you about the exercises you can do to "reset" your inner ear? Those helped me a lot. You can probably look them up online, they seem strange but they work.

What are you proud of yourself for

A stranger complimented me when i came out of the grocery store. She had been behind me in line.

Now i am specific when it comes to how i pack my reusable shopping bags. I have been described as anal, maybe a bit OCD. Things get packed according to where they go in the kitchen. Cereals and crackers, freezer goods, fruits and veggies, school snacks, fridge door/drawer/top shelf items etc.

The woman said i had a perfect system and was able to get it all packed up quickly and efficiently. Made me feel really good.

I really needed that because my last two trips i ended up with the one male cashier who insists on packing things and rushing you along. As if things arent stressful enough with people bitching about waiting in lines right. He also used plastic bags and put heavy stuff on my bread and the kids refused to eat swished bread... rolleyes

It felt good to know someone felt my system worked well.

Nope. Not proud of ANYTHING today.

On a related note, are you available to come to my house to clean???

After buying take-out the last few days, I got my act together and cooked today. I made a ginormous pot of soup. It was very tasty, and the family loved it.

Now, I need to find some housecleaning mojo too.

I clean my house often so it’s usually pretty clean.

It’s the garage that needs some help. Lol not my mess!!

I am proud of the new business I have started and love!! Things are moving along and I hope the revenue continues to increase. And we win a few bids eventually.

I think my biggest accomplishment recently is we downsized to a smaller home and I got rid of about half the clutter and crap!!!! That’s a win for me!!!😃

I am proud of myself because instead of going back to bed i washed all my bedding.

Then i brought up a small cabinet from the basement and organized the area behind where i sit in the kitchen. That area had been dubbed "moms messy office"...

Fairly large house and i have NO my area. No place for my art, etc. So the small side table between my kitchen seat and the counter became the spot and that spot grew into a monster of shit. Add to that a house pig who likes ripping apart boxes (this morning) and it was all over the damn kitchen.

Now its semi organized into the cabinet. I have to find my stash of dollar store little bins downstairs to further organize stationary, tape etc.

Tomorrow i will be cleaning out and organizing all of the kitchen cupboards.

Well it's a good damn thing I was a productive successful grup this weekend....

Cus I started my day today by waking up two hours late and then stepping barefoot and doing a cartoon-banana-peel-style slip and fall on a dog turd first thing laugh Was a true 'oh-shit' morning!

EllieKMass, I had a sinus infection for over a year! As soon as I would finish antibiotics, it would come raging back.So I saw an ENT who did a sulfur powder in my ear. It worked like a charm! He would NO prescribe me antibiotics at ALL when I told him it was reoccurring at that first visit, btw! He said that sometimes it's best to go "old school." He would actually mix it himself and it was some kind of powder. All I know is that it WORKED!

Just HOW stupid do you think I am, exactly?
