My church is planning a trip to Israel for March of 2021 and I made the decision to go with them. I feel so excited about this. I’m not a very adventurous person and so this is going to really take me out of my comfort zone.
This is a new beginning for me. This will be the biggest trip I’ve ever taken. And I’m doing it alone, without a partner.

YES! I went to Bali by myself last year and it was sooo empowering. You will have an amazing time! And you have time to read up, research, save $... perfect!

I figured out how much I’ll need to save to cover the cost of the trip, food, spending money and dog boarding. Next week I’m opening a special savings account just for this trip. I get to do all the planning by myself without having to fight about money (wh is a spender and any time I managed to save a dollar, he would find something to spend it on. So glad I’m not dealing with that any more).

What? You're not asking XWH to come home to take care of the dogs? :)
If you live some place I want to do genealogy research, I'd consider taking care of them in exchange for a free place to sleep.
