I'm sorry, I know how difficult the antiversary can be - particularly the first one. I don't' consider myself an overly sentimental person and have never been big on dates/etc, however that first antiversary, and that whole season really, hit me like a ton of bricks. Trauma is trauma. Your body remembers. Be kind and gentle to yourself.
I recall you saying that you planned to make big assessments at one year. I know this is not where you planned on being. I imagine this makes it all the more difficult.

Yesterday was mercifully anticlimactic compared to my anti-verary eve meltdown. Work has been productive and engaging, and I went to dinner with my team and then had a few drinks and went to bed. Wonderfully uneventful all things considered. Thanks for caring to ask.
Yes, my self imposed clock has wound down. As stated before, I鈥檓 keeping my cards close to my chest here right now, but yes, it is the time for decision making.

Got home today, wasn鈥檛 expecting to see her at all but we had a short interaction. When she is kind and soft hearted to me, she is so desirable to me, even now. It takes mental effort to be like, "STOP, REMEMBER, RUN". But it feels like becoming deathly and incurable allergic to your child. You love them deeply but to be with them will kill you. I have to remember that thing I just experienced today doesn鈥檛 last and what comes with it is poisonous.
I get to spend the evening with my DD tonight, looking forward to that.
