Last night, my boyfriend of 10 months proposed to me and I said Yes!

We have 8 kids between us ( 4 each)

6 are adults. 2 of mine are 17 yr old twin boys. All of my kids are over the moon! His kids are less than enthusiastic. His oldest daughter 27 is not happy at all and says she can't deal with it I am sure she will come around in time.

I realize that there are a lot of dynamics at play, some that I'm not even aware of at this point.

We are on a grand adventure!

Congratulations!

I wouldn't worry too much about an adult step-daughter's disapproval right now. My oldest step-daughter wasn't too tickled about me at first. After 7 years, she can clearly see how her father acts when he is very happy. She's gotten to know me better. And we get along just fine.

Thanks everyone

It has been a really great couple of days

My fiancé is a Pastor and he announced our news to his congregation today. Everyone seems really happy for us. I have been slowly getting to know the core members of his church and they have been very welcoming.
