Does anyone have any recommendations for a good book on mindfulness?

Yes, I went through The Mindfulness Self-Compassion Workbook thru The Guildford Press. It's by Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer, both PhDs.

I really liked In Love with the World by Yongey Mingyur. It's not really about mindfulness/meditation, but it's essentially about a Buddhist Monk who decides to escape the walls on the monastery and his experiences with mindfulness are detailed throughout the book.

10% Happier by Dan Harris is another biography-type book about how a news anchor used meditation and mindfulness to straighten out his life.

Last but not least, if you're looking for a how-to guide for meditation, The Mind Illuminated by Culadasa (John Charles Yates) is good, but also a lot.
