I've been trying to watch the SC hearings and I'm not giving any opinions on it except that this Judge makes me feel really stupid!! I mean, I can't sit in a meeting without taking notes and referring to them regularly, and this lady just sits there and answers questions without blinking twice!!

Maybe because I'm a note-taker and don't remember a lot of details on subjects without first writing them down and then being able to refer to them at a moment's notice. Seeing others speak and cite sources without references in front of them has always caught my attention. I used to work with a man who could do the same thing; of course we'd ask a simple "yes" or "no" question and he'd take 10 minutes to answer it, but he did so by citing code sections by memory that applied to the question before giving an answer...impressive!

Whenever my children would ask me how I knew something or was able to do something, my usual answer was 'years of experience'. Seems to me the same applies here.

Don't feel bad. That judge is actually a robot. It's a new push to digitize our legal system... er... I may have said too much...
I honor and obey our cybernetic overlords. They are just the best.

I haven't watched the hearings - I'm taking a break from political stuff while I sort my life out this year.
That said, she's a judge/lawyer - those people have to memorize A LOT of stuff for the Bar.
So I'm not surprised she wouldn't be taking any notes or what have you. That's not to take away from her at all, mind you, I'm just saying that's how you get to that level of expertise.

True, experience does a lot. And the position requires more than what I think I could handle in my little brain!

I'm with ya, newlife03. ACB makes me feel like I need a driver's manual for my frontal lobes.
