Sometimes we need to smile and laugh.

So just a little plug for SPF down in Fun & Games.
(Stupid picture Friday)

This got me through some of the toughest times here and well it's the one way I've been able to feel I'm contributing something back.

Go have a chuckle, join in if you'd like (photos must be hosted on the web somewhere, they aren't being uploaded to this site).

Keep it clean. Obviously lol

Copy the url (depends how you view the pictures but usually theres a share option. I click on copy to clipboard from share) and paste it into the image box. To the left of the reply window.

I've toned down the spider pictures big time but it is coming up to Halloween so you've been warned

Come have a smile and a laugh.

I support this! In fact, I'm willing to share a quick story to help.

For anyone who hasn't interacted with me here you may not know, but I'm a fan of fart jokes. I salute the inventor of the whoopie cushion periodically (in my head, no clue who that fucker really is).

At home, when the kids are around, I have been blaming my farts on wild animals for years.

As in <poot> "man those leopards are rowdy today!"

This is all background for my story. So the scene. It's eight o'clock, and my youngest (10 yrs old), has a bed time around 8:30. Every day he tries to stay up past that time, by sneaking or debating or arguing or some kinda way. His older brother gets to stay up later so it's just. Not. Fair.

This night is no different. After he does his bedtime routine, he comes to me in a very serious manner, angry face and all, and says, "Dad. I hope you know. This means war!"

"Oh?" I said, while trying not to laugh. "War huh?"

Then, I hit him with what I think is the knockout punch, "You know... if we're at war, then I guess you aren't getting McDonald's tomorrow."

Complete shock on his face. "What...?" He whispers.

I nod my head, doing my best to maintain a face showing serious consideration, "Yeah. I mean, why would I buy McDonald's for my enemies?"

Well, he huffs for a little bit. Then he hits me back. The unexpected uppercut.

"Well... well... well... if you don't get me McDonald's, then I'm telling everyone that it's not animals farting and it's all you!!"

....I'll admit, I didn't see that one coming. Let him stay up til 9:00 that night.

I have always loved me some SPF; I'm glad you kept it going, Dragn. I remember "back in the day" when CluelessBlonde did it. I've been reading it and LOLing since 2007!

NTV, great story!

I made pork chops last night with green beans and a rice medley. So awesome.

I made the pork a bit crisper than I should have and my knife wasnt cutting it. So I picked it up and tore it apart.

DS looks at me and says (as he picks up a chicken finger with his FINGERS):

"Mom theres these things called a fork and a knife....we arent animals ya know"

Lol

Girl, the only way to eat a pork chop is with your fingers, especially the bone-in chops!

That boy is a trip! I would remind him that we are indeed animals, just sometimes a little more sophisticated...just ask the goats!

SPF truly helped us to R! My H wasn't a big fan of this site when I first joined - he knew if it wasn't for his cheating I wouldn't even know SI existed. When I started looking at SPF I would pick out my favorites and text them to him. It is now our Friday morning tradition - I text him every Friday with my favorite pics.

Not only was he amazed that a site devoted to the pain and devastation of infidelity could also share humor and joy - He told me one day that those pictures helped put the laughter back in our marriage. Something he thought we would never get back.

So thank you SI and thank you Dragn!

These didnt have bones lol. Wh is very adamant about not using his fingers to wat food, minus chips and a veggie tray type thing. Chicken wings are totally out for him.

You have no idea how much this means to me. I have been here so long and have worried that I have never contributed much to those here like those who have helped me. this is just so wonderful. Thank you

In all honesty, I look forward to SPF every week. Laughter helps soooo much with stress.
