Some doves made a nest 3 days ago in my door wreath. I want to move the wreath, without disturbing the nest and eggs to a door parallel to the one it's in now. But, I don't want to cause the parents to abandon the unhatched eggs. If I move it, will they abandon the nest? Presently, every time I open the door, the one on nesting duty flies around until I close the door.

Not an expert, but did work at a bird rescue for a few years. I know that the old story that birds will abandon babies who fall out of their nest is false. So I *suspect* that the birds will be okay IF they feel the new location is as safe and protected as the original. They chose it not for the cute wreath but for the warmth, protection from wind and predators, etc.
Did they pick a door you use a lot (phrase bird brain comes to mind
) The eggs should hatch and babies fledge in the next month if you can wait. (But totally get that might be highly inconvenient for you and dangerous for the nest!)
Good luck! If you have to move it, well doves are not an endangered species, so 🤷♀️.

We had black birds nest in one off our trees higggghhhh up. Two babies fell but were alive. Too far even w a ladder to put back. We nailed a nest (small plastic bucket with grass, twigs, paper, etc.) and a perch for momma as far up as possible. They claimed our nest and for what we could determine…. Babies were fine.
I think you could safely relocate the nest.
