I can't remember when I started this...but it has been at least 3 or 4 years when I ask for y'all to give me a Christmas present...turning the page on the "Positive Reconciliation Stories" thread . EVERY year you WONDERFUL friends and family have made sure I have gotten my Christmas present !!! May I have it again...PLEASE ???!!!

I do this for several reasons...but the one that sticks out the most to me is the memory from when I first joined this site. I was looking all over the internet for POSITIVE stories from people who had survived infidelity...and went on to THRIVE despite it. When I found THIS site...there was actually a PLACE designated for just that !!! At the time...there were only 8 pages to go through...but I read EVERY POST. It gave me HOPE when I had very little. It made me SMILE when I was so tired of crying. It let me see that if others could go through infidelity HELL and still come out intact...then maybe I could too!!!

Most of the stories I read in the "Positive Reconciliation Stories" thread that is pinned at the top of this Forum were from BW's. Now though...there are several posts from people who are on all sides of the A triangle...giving a very diverse perspective of what a POSITIVE reconciliation looks like . A good plug for this site...if you UPGRADE...you can read all the EDITED posts in that thread too !!

Finally...and probably most importantly...POSITIVE mindsets bring out the feel good hormones and give us a great sense of well being . THIS particular thread is about reconciliation. So even if you are just starting out...like I was back on page 9...or are years out...like I am on page 28...being in R will have some very POSITIVE things going on. I want to read ALL about it !!!

Another PLUS about having an UPGRADE is that you can see who has been on here in the last 5 minutes. I SEE you people who have been on this site for YEARS popping in and out...but you don't post . NOW would be a great time to post your Positive Reconciliation Story !!! We would TRULY LOVE to read it !!!

So...even though this is all about ME ...it is really all about US who are in a positive reconciliation . There are other Forums dedicated to POSITIVE new beginnings...and POSITIVE divorces and separations. I have very POSITIVE things to say about when I went for D with my 1st H and when I had my new beginning with my 2nd H ! But THIS thread is the one in this Forum dedicated to POSITIVE reconciliation stories . I've already written TWO on page 28...along with my H who wrote one as an anniversary present to me . There are only 5...maybe 6 stories needed in order to TURN THE PAGE. Would YOU be the one to give me my Christmas present this year??????? PLEASE ???!!!

Well heck...NO new positive stories have been put in that thread to move it closer to turning the page. I guess that means y'all are still writing some really LONG positive stories !!!

Come on people...you KNOW you want to write about something POSITIVE that has happened since you began your R journey . I want to READ it !!! Don't worry about jinxing anything. I can PROMISE you that after you write your positive story...something negative WILL happen . It always does!!! That is how life is...UPS and DOWNS . The GOOD thing about that is...after the negative...something positive will happen too!!

So get those minds a thinking...and those fingers a tapping...and soon you will come up with a story that will have everyone who reads it feeling a little better on that day...just because of YOU .

I’ve given you your present early but I agree, first thing I read when I discovered SI was to read the positive stories. It’s really important to give people hope when they’re so low.

We didn't watch the game on Saturday...but I was a little sad to hear that the USA didn't advance. I appreciate you thinking about me on that day...that was really sweet (((HUGS))) .

The wonderful people on here...like you...haven't let me down yet . I am very much looking forward to reading those POSITIVE stories that will be posted on that thread that will turn the page. I BELIEVE !!!

I feel like I have a positive R story and I’ve told I’m going to share it. I will have one before Christmas, I just need time to write it. Plus I work better under a deadline 😀

Remember how HARD the "first" Christmas was after Dday? YOU may be the reason someone on here gets to SMILE around that time . It may even be the first smile they will have genuinely had since their Dday . It is truly much more than just YOUR story...I know this firsthand !! PLEASE .

Although I don't have an issue with shameless begging ...I don't get to use that cute blinky emoji often...and it seems so appropriate after the word PLEASE ...doesn't it??!!

THANK YOU HFSSC !!! I LOVE your POSITIVE story !!! I learn something about y'all every time you post...and I am really surprised at how eerily FAMILIAR your story is to mine . I was a single mother...older than my H...and he was in the USMC too when we first started going out .

When I first opened up the page to read your story...it showed your story from December 14, 2021 . Now I get why you wrote on that date...HAPPY ANNIVERSARY !!! YOUR story is so INSPIRING...and I really appreciate you taking the time to show us all what has worked! I totally AGREE with your 4 steps!! I actually just wrote a post to someone's thread where I advised them to DON'T SETTLE !!!

I see you are a HUGE fan of MangledHeart and Deeply Scared too . I really don't know what would have happened to me if I wouldn't have found this site...with awesome people like YOU guiding me along the way. I was in such a BAD place at that time...and I clung to some kind...any kind...of HOPE to get me through. I found it here...and especially in the WONDERFUL posts in that "Positive Reconciliation Stories" thread .

I don't think your story was all that long...but it isn't the length of the post that turns the page . It's the post themselves...and I need 3 or 4 more to get my Christmas present !! Tanner wrote that he is going to post one soon...so where are my other 2 or 3 friends out there...or family...who will give me my Christmas present ?!

I may not get my Christmas present this year. The page on that thread has normally turned by now. But it has been quite a whirlwind between Thanksgiving and Christmas for ME this year...so I am sure many of you have a lot more to do than to write a positive story in that thread as well .

However...miracles happen EVERY DAY...so there is still HOPE !! I have seen some pretty amazing miracles on this site from just the last 8 years that I have been on here...so I will take THAT as my Christmas present too .

Just 2...maybe 3 more stories y'all...and Christmas will be even BETTER this year !!!

Christmas Day has come and gone...and although it was SO CLOSE...that page didn't turn. But that's alright...there were several very POSITIVE stories added to that thread to make people feel some HOPE when they read them .

There were also several positive threads that were posted in the Reconciliation Forum that COULD have turned the page on the "Positive Reconciliation Stories" thread...but I wasn't going to harass the OP like I have in the past !!!

The Christmas Season isn't over yet though !! It doesn't end until January 6...or Twelfth Night...as some people call it. It is traditionally known as the time that the wise men visited the Baby Jesus. So y'all still have TIME to post in that thread and turn the page .

Twelfth Night also starts the Mardi Gras Season!! So...if I don't get my Christmas present by January 6...maybe I can get a Mardi Gras present before Mardi Gras Day on February 21? THROW ME SOMETHIN' MISTER (OR MRS) !!!

The thread that I am writing about is actually pinned at the top of this Forum . The title of that thread is "Positive Reconciliation Stories" . YOUR post would be PERFECT for that thread as well !!

I LOVE how you wrote it was your BEST Christmas EVER !! It is all about perspective...and YOU will go far with this positive perspective you have!!
