I'm invited to a wedding of a family member in March. At a ski lodge in Colorado! I will probably go but no way will I ski. It's the LIFT that would keep me from trying it. I have a phobia about lifts, roller coasters, anything with heights. When I was 7 years old my little sister wanted to ride the small ferris wheel but wanted me to go with her. I finally did and it scared me so much and I was begging to get off, to stop the damn thing -- but the operator just kept it going. So when we came down by the platform, I jumped off! It scared the operator nearly to death because he knew I'd been begging to get off. So ... watching others ski is entertainment enough for me. I love watching the winter olympics.

Jeaniegirl- its a blast to hang out in the watch area (i dont know what its called) eat snacks, keep
Warm by the fire, and watch through huge windows!!! I really enjoy that! My friend said its called ski apres i think? Enjoying the hot coco and fireplace and cozy sweaters but none of the skiing!

That sounds like MY kind of gig! Watching and hot chocolate with marshmallows.

I love to slalom ski. Have been doing it since I was 6. Learned to ski on 2 but my feet were so small had to wear tennis shoes in the water the first year. I was 5.
Oh wait you guys are talking about in the snow when it's cold?!?
Nope never going to happen.
My H tried to get me to CC ski the second year we were dating. I hate winter, cold, and everything about it. I did not enjoy myself. Now I'm too old and fragile to even consider downhill.
But for all you snow lovers be safe and have fun. I will wait for summer and ski behind a boat.
