Any other Survivor fans here? This season is a lot different than others. I have to say I think there are too many twists and advantages, I enjoy the social and strategic aspect of the game, and when you throw too many curve balls into it, it’s hard to follow.

I agree, there have been so many twists, it's been hard to follow.

Do you know will they all follow the shorter format from now on, or was this only due to the pandemic?

They always film two 39 day seasons starting in early summer. 41 was filmed in May 2021. They did 26 days, so by my math they can do 3 26 day seasons in the same time frame. My guess is the next 2 seasons will be shorter 26 day seasons also.

Bummer Danny is gone, I liked him or Xander for the win.

HT and I are also Survivor fans. We agree there are too many twists this season.

My favorite was Evvie, but now I think I will be rooting for Xander.

Tonight is the finale. I believe Xander is the only one with an idol so I believe it will get him to the final 4. Should be interesting, we will be locked in at the Tanner house

I am a fan. I didn’t like some of the twists. No real investment in the final 4.

My guy didn’t win, but I like Erika. She didn’t coast through the game she won challenges and shifted the game.

Best fire challenge I have seen in all 41 seasons!

I was surprised by Erika’s win.

I liked that they did the reunion show immediately after when things are still fresh.

We watched it outside by the fire pit. Our neighbor came over right as it started. I told him no chit chat during Survivor. He had never seen it before, he was hooked and actually called the win for Erika. He stayed for all 3 hours. He said let him know when the next finale is he will come watch 🤣

Edit: I liked the immediate reunion show too.

Yes- I'm a big Survivor fan. I've watched all 41 seasons, although I started being a fan on Season 15 and had to catch up. I have been rewatching them on Hulu and Paramount+ and it is startling to see how different they are. In Season 41, I was pulling for Danny. And then Erika. I liked a lot of the cast and I always hate seeing someone I like getting voted out. And I agree- way too many twists. Especially watching the early seasons where there was just your guts to go by.
