I woke up around 2am with crushing chest and arm pain. Figured since i had over done it on the weekend and slept on my arm it was no big deal. Pain went away in about ten minutes, arm was sore all day.
Then with my morning coffee i got something In my eye. Flushed it out. Still not better. No visible foreign matter. As the day went on it got much worse. Gross gunk started to come out. Decided once the other kids were home from school and dinner was made i was heading into town to see a doctor.
Went to urgent care. Thought I'd have them check my shoulder/arm too. Discovered that if you have something in your eye and you mention chest/arm pain they will send you to the ER. Urgent care doc didnt even look at my eye.
Had my blood pressure taken three different times and each time it was different. Normal then down then up.
Got a full cardiac work up. Bloodwork.
I always thought men got the chest and arm pain while woman get the upset stomach, neck and jaw pain. Was told thats true but woman can have a range of symptoms so they had to check to be sure.
Happy to report my heart is in good working order. My eye on the other had has a significant decrease in vision and a scratch. Got drops and getting a visit to an ophthalmologist, yay me...
The heart thing is really scary. Kept thinking I'm to young for a heart attack. Heart attacks arent huge in my family but strokes are. Guess its time to shape up and get healthy.
Now for a few hours of sleep before its time to get up. Sheesh.

Oh my. I’m so sorry. Do you regularly take your blood pressure and have the ability to do so at home? I invested in getting that at home so I can take it. Keep an eye on it, eat healthy, exercise, sleep, and have some smiles in your day.

I dont have a blood pressure cuff. I shoukd get one.
Ive had my blood pressure sky rocket when in the hospital before. Nurse said it probably went up because of nerves.
Its 4am now. Arm, shoulder, and across chest hurts. I have reacted to the tape they used after taking blood. My arm looks nasty. My eye is gross too and my face is orange from the drops they put in. It squirted instead of dropped lol

Yikes! I was concerned when you mentioned in your other post about your left arm.
Wishing you well and a quick recovery.

I will be seeing my family doctor now. I have had episodes of dizziness, nausea, neck, shoulder, arm and chest pain with a crushing feeling before and always brushed it off to stress and over doing it.
Since all the bloodwork came back normal i assume theres no reason to believe ive had a heart attack before, not from what i read. Its still a wake up call though.
I am very tired right now. Wh has told me not to do anything today. Called my mom to clarify some family medical history and she said the same thing. So rest it is.

Any chance you have arthritis or bone spurs in your neck? My C5-C7 herniations caused me a lot of pain and stress with the heart attack mimic symptoms. Most of it is referred nerve pain. My family cardiac history is scary, and we all have very high cholesterol, so I was sure I was dying in my 40's or at least needed a quad bypass....until my cardiologist referred me to a neurosurgeon since she had the same neck issues. 20 years later my heart is still fine, my neck is still a wreck but I know how to do the exercises to stop the nerve and referred pain that make my arm, chest and jaw ache. And I know how to talk myself off the "I'm dying" cliff so I don't add stress to my stress.
You work very hard physically, so maybe you aggravated something and just need to rest, which I'm sure is not easy with your farm. Hope you feel better soon, and maybe try an anti-inflammatory or a muscle relaxer if you can to get over the pain hump.

I had two MRI's when my shoulder first acted up, pre covid. First of the shoulder and then the next of my neck. Nothing came of them, they gave no reason for the pain i was in, just said to do PT.
I had multiple work ups when younger because i had times when the world would spin and half my face, including my tongue, would go numb. Had it happen a few times when driving and scared the crap out of me. It was related to my migraines and while on migraine meds it stopped. I have been off those meds for years and have only had that happen maybe twice since.
I am not in good shape at all and yes i really over did it Sunday. Paying for it now.
Ill bring up bone spurs when i see my doctor and see what he says.

Nope. All seems well so far. Some soreness in my arm but no further chest pain like what woke me up. I am very tired. More so than usual. It will be a couple weeks before i can see my GP.

Please take it easy. My husband's uncle had a heart attack and the dr's said not to go upstairs or lift anything more than a milk jug for the first 2 months or so. They also had him get a heart rate monitor and not allow him to exert himself over his fat burning threshold during that time.
Fitbit has good heart rate monitors and tracks it for you. I recommend getting one of those- mine's really helpful.
Hang in there!

Well this weekend i NEEDED to get stuff done. Took it slow, got help when i needed it.
My wooden section of fence is now done. Just have to roll out and secure the metal fence to the T posts along the back of the pasture and install my gate.
I took a nap. Slept really good. My arm is sore. Not really bad. Just sore. DS is back to school tomorrow so i wont be doing anything big while home alone. I have doctors appointments all this week too between me and the kids. Going to be busy.
At least no more chest pain.

Glad you were able to take a nap. That's not something you mention very often. Also glad to hear you aren't having any more chest pains.
