I assumed we as a species would do better when faced with a pandemic but alas, when the day comes that a virus that's 100% fatal strikes, the time of humans will come to an end...

People would run up and hug zombies because someone told them not to.

Who the Bleep - ppl are absolutely responsible for their decisions, not taking heads. If that’s where they get their info then we have failed as a society.

My two friends are teachers. They know how to be critical users of information. I think I know their talking heads. This entity is not on TV.

Perhaps they need to rethink “who” they follow.

Some people are genuinely afraid of the vaccine. Yes they should be more afraid of the virus. There has been misinformation circulating and it's hard to undo that.

How many people still will not get a flu vaccine because they insist that you can get the flu from the vaccine. Science tells us this is not true. Getting the flu vaccine helps so many others yet lots of people just won't do it.

How about the studies that were done linking vaccines and autism that used altered data. So many people are still afraid of vaccines thanks to this.

I am in no way saying I agree with that thinking. I got vaccinated as soon as I could and have been very careful. I haven't traveled and I still won't. I do have some compassion for people genuinely struggling with the decision to get vaccinated because they are afraid.

I told somebody that was afraid of the vaccine to talk to a health care professional and see how they feel about it after that. They did and got their first vaccine!!!

Sewardak, I 100% agree with you, which is why I did my own independent research, and ultimately decided to get vaccinated. But if we look at history, we can cite numerous times, some in recent past, where the masses were convinced to do horrific reprehensible things to innocent people, simply because the flow of information, and the information itself was completely controlled for a "bigger purpose." And people followed. Blindly. In some cases there was probably no research to be done, because anything written that said otherwise was destroyed/burned.

When there is evidence of that happening in any respect, even unrelated to covid, people who have read history books become fearful and hesitant to believe any information that comes their way.

I strongly believe that censorship and control of information is responsible for the current fear. I'm not saying the fear is founded. But I understand why it exists.
