Brene Brown shame-addiction connection

UnstuffedGiraffe posted 3/13/2021 05:10 AM

Iíve listened to enough of her books to forget where I found it. She talks about the connection between shame and addiction and how they are so connected itís impossible to tell which comes first. Anyone know where to find it?

I'm listening to Rising Strong now and have others on hold at my local library. I'll keep an ear out and let you know.

I am interested in this.

She has a way of putting things that I know to be true into words but couldnít previously describe, that one hit me like I should have seen it sooner. It explains so much. Also, you hear a lot of the same stories if you listen to enough of her books.

Unstuffed - she talked about this when promoting Daring Greatly, so wondering if it's there? Unfortunately, I only have her on audiobook, so can't look it up :(

Audible really needs a search feature.

Found it. Itís in her podcast about Shame and Accountability. Itís mostly Shame vs Empathy, Iíd love it if she would do an episode focusing more on the addiction.
