Rulk: Did you find specific people you know, or just people in your local geography? How many?

I will happily help any non-specific requests, such as how to decrypt a gz.asc file of any nature. Out of respect to the mods and site owners I'd prefer to wait for their decision.

I will say I'd be searching reddit instead of google as to how to perform these steps. Google on this topic can be rather academic and esoteric

If you use the search engine provided, it only returns four records, so the data seem truncated. I didn't try to download the whole database.

I found people I know. Or I thought I knew. Some of them gave me their support in dealing with my exwife's infidelity. It's all another stab in the back. I knew I was asking for trouble by searching for people that was close to me. Part of my wants to do a background check on everyone I know just to see how far the rabbit hole goes. Another part tells me to call me IC.

Anyone here download the whole data dump ?

I was able to get on. It can do a search by name, or email. So basically the only way to detect anyone is if they were stupid enough to use their real name, or email. My instinct is most would make an account with a "hidden email" and fake name.

BUT, with that said, I still want to thank whoever did this!!!!! And you can damn well bet there are millions of cheaters out there sweating it right now.

I got in for a bit too but did not attempt the whole download not that tech savvy. Was able to see that there were records for the email accounts he used but couldn't see the detailed record. That's ok just more proof I never received the whole story. Glad I'm onto a more calm and sane life without him. Thanks for posting.

Would someone who is tech-savvy be willing to post a step-by-step instruction for those of us who are not tech-savvy (read:"old") on how to get the database?

Nah. That's someone else's searchable web site, which uses the database that they downloaded.

I'm talking about the actual database, as released on Quantum Magazine's site by "Impact Team".

the website search...I put in last name "Smith". They answered "no records found". LOL. Yeah, okay.

I got in...I didn't find my FWH. Small comfort, because I know if he had signed up, he would have used an email address I didn't know about.
