Yes, I said "Fall".
Last night I tripped on a pair of shoes and went sailing for about 3 feet ... arms wheeling like in a cartoon. I face planted on the tile hallway with my shoulder ending up crunched into the corner of the wall...
OUCH!
I got a nice bruise for my efforts and I'm a bit sore all over. But I'm mostly mad as hell that I got hurt. And a bit gunshy about walking now.

Welcome to the face plant club.
I've fallen so much lately that I've got bruises from head to toe...Literally!!!
I'm not longer Caucasian. I'm purple with hints of green and blue.
WH said I'm not to leave the house without putting the spikes on my boots that he got me. Ya, I can just see me falling and finding the one impossible way to impale myself with the damn things...

Have you gotten checked out since you "crunched"?

I haven't gotten checked out.
I have been icing and taking anti-inflammatory-ing.
I don't think I did anything permanent. Just waiting it out.
Due to the spot of injury the most painful thing is wearing my bra... the bra strap goes right over the bruise.

jrc - look at yourself in a mirror without a top or bra on to be sure your shoulders are equal level, collarbones break, and you can function w/o knowing it until you try specific movements.
That said, Welcome to the Fall Club.
I wiped out 2.5 weeks ago when we had a nice ice glaze, and bruised/scraped my knee up.
I wiped out yesterday, when we had another glazing of ice, this time scraping the other knee, and jarring my shoulder.
So I too am doing the Antiinflammatory thing, and using my SalonPas patches liberally.
Feel better.

I'm currently recovering from rotator cuff surgery caused by a fall. We are doing a little construction work (now temporarily suspended) and I stepped into a hole in the dark. Dumb I know.
My arm caught on a baby gate and poop! Tore the front ligament clean off. So far the Dr's are happily amazed by the fact that I haven't hurt since the operation. So am I!

Tush...
I looked at myself and I don't look anymore asymmetrical than usual...
I seem to be healing up... my bruise is several different shades of purple/yellow/green.
My knees hurt too... but they're getting better.
