How goes everything folks!!!! Has it finally been a year already laugh laugh laugh !!!!

Last time I was here on SI was right when I kicked the WW out of the house to go and live with her AP two states over. I've hardly heard anything from her and was able to file for D on 8/23. Long story short, final D was granted today, 10/11/2021!!!!!!

Right now it's a surreal feeling and I'm pinching myself making sure that this is real. All I can say is good riddance to WW and thank you to the AP for taking her off my hands and out of life. This past year was total, absolute NC and grey rock which allowed myself time to heal and get priorities straight. It's ironic that today is the day that she decided to step out of the marriage and take up with AP two long years ago. It's fitting that today would be the day that the D is finalized. Karma has a wonderful way of working itself out. Metaphorically, I've stepped out of the woods and into the clearing and all I can see is blue sky with the eagles crying on high and the birds singing in the branches. The air smells so sweet and soothing! It's hard to believe that this day is finally here and have been waiting for it with baited breath for well, almost two years.

My new beginning is here!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats!

It’s nice to have it finalized and you are totally free. Hope your kids are doing well and adjusted to your WW’s betrayal. No contact and grey rock is definitely the way forward. Good luck.

Never bother with things in your rearview mirror. Your best days are on the road in front of you.

Thanks fareast, it feels absolutely amazing to have this weight lifted off!!! The kids have adjusted well to the betrayal. DD21 will not take her phone calls and wants absolutely NC. DS19 hardly talks to his WW mother and DD17.5 has blocked her phone calls. So yeah, they've adjusted quite well and see xWW for what she really is, a conniving narcissist with self esteem issues.

NC and grey rock is the only way to go!!!!!!

Congrats, I just read through your story and it looks like you did pretty well overall. Did everything turn out the way you hoped as far as your military retirement and whatnot?

Congratulations! FWIW, my kids don't want to hear from XH because he's such an emotional vampire.

Onward and upward!

Blandy, she does not get any of my military retirement or what I had saved up which is a good thing. When the D was filed I went ahead and sued for CS retroactive to her leaving in 8/2020. xWW has since lawyered up in the last week and wants to fight CS. All I can say is bring it on as she will not be let out from her obligations and responsibilities to DD17.

Thank you so very much, @The1stWife!!!!! Everything feels good, the kids are thriving and we are moving on with our lives.

@BearlyBreathing and @crazyblindsided thank y'all so much for the kind words. Also very thankful for all the support from the SI community and thankful that I found this site in the beginning!!! If it wasn't for this community who knows where I'd be at this stage in the game.
