Try using icyhot or bengay or biofreeze on it at bedtime. Use generously. And stretch once applied prior to bed.

I have icyhot. Feels so good. I was able to sleep on my left side last night. It is getting better, just have to take things slow.

I have had sciatica for years found nothing that helped. Then I tried acupuncture that was my last hope other than surgery and I must say it has worked wonders for me.

My back is so bad that if I over due it my legs feel like they do not sit in my hips correctly. So give acupuncture a try

As a working farm woman, I know it isn't realistic to take it easy on ourselves, indefinitely. While I tried to heal my butt and leg pain for over a month and a half, my grass kept growing, my mower still needs me on it, which makes the pain worse the next day, etc., etc. I was feeling a lot better and stronger after my old chiropractor was able to adjust my L5 joint (he claimed) but to protect my healing progress, I recently went to a sporting goods store and bought a weight-lifter girdle/belt - you know, the big black-studded kind, with leather and a 4 inch wide velcro strap?! grin I pledged to wear it when I mow, and I do feel it keeping my back more erect when I bounce around mowing the pasture, where maybe my back was taking all the gravity hits, before...anyway it seemed to be a good idea..hope you can try that technique, Dragn! I think even a cloth wrap would work.

Oh yeah farm life doesn't make for taking much of a break. Then again i have been very lazy the past couple of weeks.

I was in just to much pain to do much.

Now that its better i am taking things slow because i know one wrong move and ill be back to being unable to move.

Acupuncture i would do and a chiropractor. I just need to find them. Honestly i have so much going on i am just trying to keep it together enough to get through this week.
