Hello!

I've been informed that this post was "bumped" and that folks are interested in an update from me. In lieu of a longer "update post' (which is coming, I promise!), I will say this:

I have had a good year since my divorce was finalized and can confidently say I am in a much better place now. I certainly have my ups and downs, but I am so much better now and am glad that my story and my experience and the advice and help I was offered through SI have resonated and been useful for so many. Infidelity and divorce and feeling like your life is falling apart and that you'll never recover is EXHAUSTING...but, take it from me, it is possible and you can do it. Even if you have to pick up the pieces all by yourself and you complain and cry about it being unfair (and it IS unfair)...just focus on "one piece at a time". You can do this. You can recover and enjoy a fuller, more authentic life. Keep it up.

I will come back and post an update. I want to take the time to type it out and really "make it right". I want to be honest and true and candid in my response. I am doing much better now, but it wasn't easy and it's still not always easy. I want to be a helpful (but realistic) source of inspiration for folks out there. I will make an update when the time is right (which, really, just requires me to have a couple of hours of free time to sit down and type something out)...where would be the best place to post an update?

Thanks to everyone here. Please feel free to reach out to me anytime to chat.

Cheesecakebaker, I am hoping to come here and read a post about your former fur baby doggy BITING the ass of Mark. smile And then the narc ex-wife begs you to come get your doggy - and then you'd have TWO fur babies to love!

I was just thinking last night, I wonder how CCB is going?
I like many others would love to hear an update: the good, the bad and the ugly.
We're still on your side, and want to help where we can.
I've been following your story from the start, and I finally made my first post.
Hang in there CCB.

Glad to hear things are looking up for you.

You are young and you will rebound from this. We all do.

Just remember - no matter what — the XW was the one who made poor choices and cheated. Nothing you did or did not do (no matter what she has said) warranted her cheating.

Rock on!

Survived two affairs and brink of Divorce. Happily reconciled.
