Are there any movies about infidelity that are realistic?

The scene in Love, Actually where Emma Thompson's character finds a Christmas gift her husband (played by Alan Rickman) bought for the office floozy and realizes in that moment that he's doing something shady. They are just on their way to their kids Christmas party and she has to have a quick breakdown and then put on a happy face to go be super mom. At the end of the movie they're still together but you can see the uncertainty in her face.

Just such an incredibly well acted set of scenes. And to me they perfectly captured the feeling of discovery and the uncertainty of staying. My dday1 happened right before Thanksgiving and I didn't tell my family for months, so the holidays that year were a lot of putting on that happy face and pretending that things were just fine. Those scenes resonate with me.

Thompson has said that she drew on her own experience of Kenneth Branagh's affair in acting those scenes. She was doing a series of press junkets and red carpets when she discovered he was sleeping with Helena Bonham Carter, and she did a lot of sobbing in dressing rooms before shaking it off for the camera.
