I haven’t posted in a hot minute, but wanted to share the most meaningful gift I received today.
For context we are around 14-15 months since DDay and last month BH had to actually save my life due to a freak surgery complication. This morning after we had opened Christmas presents he handed me a card that read the following:
"Consider this card the gift of life and reconciliation. Seriously I’m very proud of you and look forward to the future. I love you"
I hate that my actions have forced us to be in this position and some days are still as heavy as day one. However, my heart is still full of hope for our future and I’d be lying if I said this didn’t give me butterflies like I was a teenager.
Praying for everyone that is in the same painful position and I’m so sorry to those of you that are struggling today.

Karmacat,
"Consider this card the gift of life and reconciliation. Seriously I’m very proud of you and look forward to the future. I love you"
Kudos to your husband for giving you such a precious gift. And kudos to you, for reoconizing and accepting his gift. Best wishes to you both, your future looks bright.

I’m so happy for you KarmaCat, and glad you are alive! The thought crossed my mind - my husband sometimes has vulnerability hangovers, so maybe keep an eye out for that so you can help him. And thank you for your prayers, I join you in praying for all of the members of SI, giving thanks for those who have reconciled or healed, for the healing in progress, and asking for Wisdom and comfort for those who need it.
