I have found out in life that once you are clear on your options somehow you get rid of fear.

"The fear of the unknown is so powerful, it convinces us to stay in the misery of our current situation simply because we know it already."

A

If you go to couples therapy your WS is going to try to dump blame on the BS for the A: "If I weren't so unhappy.... If BS had only paid attention to.... If BS hadn't changed so much..... BS doesn't understand me anymore..... BS has no time for me..... Our marriage as turned into a marriage in name only..... We fight all the time...." Or, blame the fates: I can't help that I am not 'in love' with BS anymore... I didn't plan to fall in love with AP.... I feel so much better when I'm with AP.... AP makes me happy like I haven't felt in years..... It just happened." Blah blah blah.

I don’t agree with ThisIsSoLonely! It would happen if you go to a cheap unexperienced therapist that gets manipulated like you do.

I am not saying your husband does not need individual therapy but as you are together and coparenting you need a support as a couple, TOO.
