That was the headline in a story I read today. A financial advisor who stole $6M from clients, spent $4.2M on "women with whom he was romantically involved." Got sentenced to 6 1/2 years in prison for stealing $6M.
His BS gets much longer than that...

What a POS, given how smooth he was he may even have fooled his BW for a long time as well.
While I'm not sure about progressive taxes, perhaps prison sentences should be progressive for every 100K over 100K the sentence increases by 3 years.

Are you saying the Betrayed Wife is going to jail or that her life is now filled with pain b/c her H is in jail and that he cheated with so many other women?
Survived two affairs and brink of Divorce. Happily reconciled.

The BS isn't in jail. What I'm looking at is a WS who stole $6M, spent most of it on a variety of APs, ends up with 6 years in jail...but his BS gets a lifetime of pain.

A couple of years ago I read an interview in a local paper with a local young woman who had been married to a man who recently had been sentenced to a long prison term. Turns out he was financing and controlling the drug-trade in a nearby city/area. Probably never touched the stuff, but had the contacts, the money and all that.
She was a local celebrity. One of the modern celebs that are famous for nothing. There had been photos of her online and in the gossip papers with pictures of her in the Caribbean, in a big mansion, driving her red BMS sports-car… And now the interview had her with minimal make-up sitting in the living-room of her parents wearing a designer jogging-suit that she had probably worn twice before (the horrors!)
She insisted she never knew of the illegal activities. She said she "thought" her husband was in real-estate. She then went on to talk about how she missed all the time they had together and how she now had to focus on their two kids that had been yanked out of private school. I felt so sorry for her having to eat cereal for breakfast without cream and truffles…
I recall this because no – I don’t accept that a spouse of someone that is making MILLIONS get’s to enjoy the lifestyle, but not be accountable in some way or form. If my wife was home 2-3 work-days per week, was secretive with her phone and yet gave me a Sage fly-rod, a new truck and took me to Cancun for a weekend… I would be VERY much into knowing how the money came about.

Not necessarily. She can leave him, go no contact, and move on with her life quite happily if she chooses. It's only if she stays and forever tries to "work it out" with him that she'll be in for a lifetime of pain.
I feel more sorry for the financial advisor's victims, who he stole the money from. If they were middle class, this could be a huge blow to many of them.

Being in the industry and having had to travel for business, it would be very easy to hide the spending of money on "outside interests". This guy was spending money on his mistresses, not on his wife/family.

The sad part is that regardless of economic status, these folks will probably never truly be made whole. I don't recall how many clients it said that he defrauded.

He will likely be out in approximately a year and those who’s money he has stolen will very likely not get any restitution.
Yet another utterly selfish and worthless POS.

It has nothing to do with you.
Filed for and proceeded with divorce.
