I think most people with this type of condition have an underlying depression and they are always looking for things to pull them out of it. They are unhappy...and the things they chase only provide temporary relief and then they are on to the next thing or next person.

I don't know about happiness but it seemed my ex liked chasing misery. All his decisions that began as his "chasing happiness" led to his misery. He still hasn't learned and probably never will.

My sister was a wayward. They are constantly searching for happiness but never find it.
