I just finished reading "Chicken Soup for the Soul: Touched by an Angel." I like Angel stories and they give me comfort.
At the very end of the book, there are pages with a little bit of info about each contributor, but what was suspicious to me was that it was also noted that this person or that person had also been published in other Chicken Soup books.
This got me to thinking perhaps these people who contributed were just making up fictional stories. Does anyone know the truth? Googling got me lots of recipes and weird stuff about touching.

Chicken Soup for the Soul is a publisher of inspirational true short stories in a wide variety of themes.
There are seasonal, spiritual, animal, etc.
I personally love these short stories and have many of the books, usually purchased at secondhand stores.
I am currently reading Chicken Soup for the Soul: Time to Thrive....101 Inspiring Stories about Growth, Wisdom, and Dreams.
You will find short bios of the contributing authors at the back of the books. Yes, I believe that there are crossover stories from one book to another, depending on the book's theme.
The original collaborators were Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen (motivational speakers).

Thanks for the reply. I was beginning to think no one on The Book Club read these Chicken Soup books.
I did find the short bios at the end, chichis what led me to post here, and to think that perhaps a few people were fabricating angel stories, and in fact, I still think a percentage may be fiction.
After all, how would anyone prove what they said?
Authors write to sell. I realize my point of view that some stories may be fictional but "sold" as truth, is somewhat colored by being a BS.

@Hope:
....from a true believer....
I had the privilege of fourteen years with a living angel.....my Beautiful Smudge. I know God sent this cat to me for a purpose, especially the last eight years.
He passed into God's arms on June 20th.

Looking forward, thanks for your reply and posting a photo of your sweet Smudge here. I had seen his photo before, and these darlings of ours (my darlings are dogs) are angels among us, aren't they?!
