Wow. Just finished it. Had no idea when I picked it up that it was almost completely about infidelity, albeit surrounded by a murder mystery.

Some parts were triggery, but overall a decent read with a Gone Girl feel.

I didn't read anything about the author, but am assuming she either reads this site or one like it for insight, or she's been through it herself.

Anyone read it? I see a movie is coming out next month.

I just read it. I could not put it down and read the entire book in a day.

I guessed the ending about 1/3 of the way in. I thought it was good. A little triggery.

I never thought that the author could be a SI reader or member! Who knows, maybe!

I read it last year and loved it. My daughter actually read it first and kept telling me I was going to like it but it was triggery.

The author had a Q&A on Twitter recently and said it's entirely from her imagination and she didn't write it from personal experience and has never experienced infidelity betrayal. I think she really did a great job. I'm looking forward to the movie.

I just passed this one by at Costco! After I read the movie review in the paper today, I regret not getting the book. Definitely will now because I like reading the book before seeing the movie.

Just stumbled over this post.. I had NO idea the movie was based on infidelity. It was extremely awkward to realise not far into the movie... I had gone to see with my cheating husband! There came a point I could no longer hold his hand and edged away from him. Neither of us mentioned the film again!

Wow, I was just about to ask my wife if she wants to come and see it with me on next Wednesday. I don't think it's the best one to see right now...
