I have been reading this book by Viktor Frankl and I have listened to the audio tapes in my car and it has really helped me to focus on my life. No matter what happens in the future, there is meaning in my life.

This is an amazing book. I would often recall the following quote during reconciliation:

When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.

Loved this book and recommend it to people all the time. I've always had a think for WWII history and my pastor referenced it during a sermon.

'You just keep living, until you are alive again'
'I don't want perfect, I want honest'

I've never heard anything other than positive reviews of this book and it is one I intend buying soon.

I guess it puts into some proper perspective whatever personal crises we're going through and how we choose to react to them and that's something I need to work on right now.

Thanks for the recommendation.

I've never met a sociopath I didn't like.

years ago, i had sought counsel due to depression brought about by trauma (a close friend's child suicided), and my therapist recommended this book. i was a voracious reader at the time and absolutely desperate. while having no common ground with frankl, his story and observations are so universal and core-to-us-all, how could it not uplift me?

required reading.
