Just curious, this on line thing is way too much and meeting men organically hasn't worked out.

No, but I would consider it.
Why not? Not sure if they are costly or not...

My friend did “let’s do lunch” and felt it was a waste of money. She was guaranteed XX (3? 5?) matches but they weren’t a match for her at all - more like they were trying to fill the men’s requirements and not hers.
On the other hand I have a friend who is (or was - I’ve lost touch) a professional matchmaker in the Bay Area. I don’t know how her business works but she puts a lot of thought into her matches and is always looking to expand her network.

My cousin did this. I think she was to get three dates for the package she signed up for but they gave her many more (for free) because their agency lacked enough woman in her area.
Her only mistake was thinking a paid service would bring her a better quality of male. Turns out idiots have money too.
So as long as you understand that, I would say try it.
